It’s not a “scientific meta analysis”. It doesn’t claim to be so. Are you unable to comprehend English? It’s an subjective op-ed written as to resemble a scientific paper but looking into the fine print the authors are very careful not to claim it being a “study” but a “report” and a “literary review” so that they could eschew rigor or any form of objectivity.
Actual scientists are tearing this travesty apart on the internet. If I post their explanations - many of them overlapping with what I’ve wrote above (and that’s simply because I possess basic statistical knowledge) why this op ed made stuff up will you be able to understand it? I’m serious.

I don’t know where you live, but the scientists I know posted positives about this review. Literature review is a scientific research method and that is how meta analyses are done, via literature review. Now keep in mind the scientists I know are not medical scientists but two of them are the most published in their fields and hold numerous journals and are editors as well. So they are not your anti Joe Rogan scientists. They are professors lecturing, publishing and editing and are experts in their fields.
So I would conclude you are full of bulls hit.
Oh look, here are the arguments I’ve mentioned above, plus much, much more. The “John Hopkins Study” is the 2022 version of the “Stanford study” (not a study nor backed by Stanford) from 2020 that underestimated fatalities from covid 25 fold.

Mmmm-hmmm. My how “the science” has seemingly changed over night. We won, right? Well the truckers did. Not so fast, I will get to that later. My belief is that the truckers in Ottawa and the popularity of the movement has properly scared the shit out of the left as well as their dismal polling, like polling is accurate. If I don’t believe the polling when it’s against me, I cannot then start believing the polling when it’s favorable to me. And I think the polling is way off, as usual. I think these policies are vastly more unpopular than the polling suggests. All polling slants left. So it is my belief that the people who really hate this shit is much higher than being reported. And the threat of convoy’s here, and the threat of truckers boycotting NY, DC, and LA has properly scared them. So they nipped it in the bud.
So we won, right? Not so fast.
This is a mark my words moment. Today, Feb 10, 2022. This is my prediction:
The democrats and the media supporting them are going to take a victory lap. They are going to spin this to say the following things:
- We were able to open up because of the precautions.
- Because the lockdowns and mandates worked so well, we were able to stop the spread enough to open up.
- Our mitigation efforts worked and that’s why we were able to lift restrictions.
- You should continue to get 50 shots and wear your mask, but since we did such an amazing job control this virus, we don’t have to mandate it anymore.
- The science changed
- The data suggested we didn’t need these mandates anymore.
- We kicked this virus’s ass, so we were able to end the restrictions.
- If we didn’t have the mandates and restrictions, we would not have been able to open up. (I have actually already heard this one.)
The point is, they are doing this in hopes of putting half the country back to sleep for the midterms. Too many regular people woke up and got pissed. The left is hoping this will rock them back to sleep. And it may very well work.
