Can any computer guys out there tell me if it is possible to convert video files; example from mpeg to wma. If so how can I do it?

Thanks,
Toddy

Yes, this is certainly possible, but you’ll have to download/install (possibly buy) a program to do it.

I assume you’re using a Windows computer so this only applies to that (for my computer - Windows XP SP2). I’ve had success using a program called Fx Video Converter. It can convert between many different types of video files.

The only problem I’ve encountered is converting to a windows media file the program will create a file with the “.wma” extension, which Windows Media Player may sometimes interpret incorrectly (it should play it correctly after you work through some error messages). Changing the extension of the converted file to “.wmv” corrects this problem.

This particular program comes with a 30 day trial, which should be enough to test it out and possibly accomplish everything you’d like. It costs $30, which isn’t that unreasonable either.

Note: I have no affiliation with this product. I’ve just used it and it works well for me.

Hope this helps.
