I’ve heard this several times. Not trying to get back into the argument, but is there actual verification that this is happening?

Yeah, that’s not what I’m talking about, and sounds like propaganda.

I also would like to know how many kids are learning this, I didn’t learn it in public school. This question keeps getting avoided and I asked it several times now.

So you guys supporting it don’t know what’s in it?

I support it as long as its close to what I learned. If its really about anal sex these days I recommend going back to 15 years ago vs dropping the entire program completely.

I’m supporting sex education being taught in school. Nothing more. Planned Parenthood as well as any organization providing this service should present tasteful and appropriate information. None of what you mentioned was taught to me when I undertook sex ed in 2000-2001.

If they are indeed showing what you say they are, I’m on your side to the extent that it needs to be reformed but not removed.

So, as long as it fits your moral ideals of what is inherently good to teach to children, it’s all good?

You have removed from your argument, by this statement, any relation to previous statistics you have mentioned. You are now basing your support of it as to whether or not certain things you agree with or not are included. If it includes it, then, despite your earlier statistics about how good it was and how there were no bad effects, you don’t support it.

Interesting, that’s exactly my argument.

Sure IF it includes it. Still waiting on that part.

I watched some of their videos on youtube.

I didn’t see anything about fisting, how to have anal sex, or putting a condom on with your mouth.
therajraj wrote:

But if it includes it, it was included in your statistics of how good it was and how it had no bad effects. You are letting irrational personal morality override the statistical wall you put up earlier?

Didn’t you claim there were no negative effects, and I’d have to prove there were any? Earlier when I claimed teaching something I didn’t think they should know was a negative effect, and you called that a cop-out. This is exactly what you tried to mock me for earlier.

But, by your argument, if it was included, you should support it.

NO.

I didn’t see anything inappropriate on that site w/ respect to sex ed so I supported it. I said from the beginning it needs to be tasteful and appropriate.

You don’t have a point unless you can show planned parenthood teaches fisting, anal sex, putting on a condom with your mouth to 10-12 year olds. That was the claim.
“inappropriate on that site”

“prove it”

“tasteful and appropriate”

“prove it”

Where are stats proving this opinion of tasteful and appropriate and where are the verifiable statistics supporting that teaching kids this stuff causes damage?

Do you have proof that they are teaching anal sex, fisting and putting on a condom with your mouth to 10-12 year olds or not?

I think that’s strike 3.

My point isn’t about whether they do or not, that doesn’t matter to my point. You admitted that when the issue comes to teaching kids something you intrinsically don’t think they should be taught, you don’t need statistical support for damage and you are willing to throw out all the previous statistics posted about all the benefits and lack of negative effects. You completely threw all of your argument away as soon as we were talking about teaching something you just didn’t like.

Doesn’t matter, you already supported it and claimed statistics proved there were no negative effects of it if they were.

I support teaching them about anal sex as long as it is not proven statistically damaging. I assume it would be which is the only reason for not supporting it (I didn’t read any stats links that might have been posted previously). Basically I don’t support it until I hear its non-damaging otherwise.

But you already did support it, if that’s what they were doing. You guys continually talk about statistics, now you are judging on assumption? But again, all the stats included whatever it was they’ve been doing. If it were to turn out they were doing stuff like this, you are either obligated to support it, or you’re a big fat hypocrite.
