Continuation on the Reproductive Rights Topic

What’s next, huh? Biology? Math? The only thing different between sex-ed and any other course on the curriculum is the puritanical american mindset about it.

No, facts are one thing. Teaching subjective and highly divisive morality is another thing. They also don’t teach bondage techniques. Everything not taught in schools is “banned”. Which is most things.

But, by your post, you are pro teaching Christianity in school? If not, what’s next?

They are teaching kids how to do things no one here seems to think they should do. Teaching kids you should do this, or this, but this is okay too, is parenting.

As part of comprehensive religion class, why not teach about Christianity?

subjective and highly divisive morality” is the puritanical american mindset, and it’s silly.

Sex is a part of life.

Simple as that.

A couple of posts [pages] back, in reply to my statement that scandanavian countries aren’t doing too bad inspite of a liberal and healthy approach to sex.

That post.

Did you meet, or did you fail to meet, your standards in that post?

So is murder. So is depravity.

Heck, we don’t teach drivers ed to 10 year olds in case they steal a car.

“comprehensive sex education” is the public instruction of children in a moral code a large portion of the population disagrees with.

You didn’t answer any of my questions.

If Christianity (spiritual) can be banned, why not anything?

The same reason we aren’t teaching Christianity is the reason we shouldn’t teach secular liberal morality.

And again, not teaching it in public schools and banning it are entirely different things, which you are refusing to acknowledge.
ephrem wrote:<<A couple of posts [pages] back, in reply to my statement that scandanavian countries aren’t doing too bad inspite of a liberal and degenerate approach to sex.

That post.

Did you meet, or did you fail to meet, your standards in that post?
You’re too easy Ephrem. I had to fix that for ya btw. I met my standards in full in that post. Here lemme say it again. Your piddling little libertine outposts of moral bankruptcy have contributed almost literally nothing to the world and never will. You feed on advancements made by my country which was founded with a “firm reliance on divine providence” in which rights were recognized as being “endowed by their creator” who abominates the approach to sex practiced by your cutesy little nowhere nations.

Sodom and Gomorrah are crying out for justice, but have no fear. We are right on their heels and sinking into that same irrelevance right along with them. In the very same bubbling quicksand of whoredom. It’ll actually go quite a bit harder on us in the long run. We have been blessed most abundantly indeed and are spitting in the face of the God who oversaw our meteoric rise.

Make no mistake my friend. He is not mocked and His light WILL shine though all this darkness you love so much. The grotesque creeping demise of the United States is proof enough.

I know. That’s crazy right? Like I keep saying. Most people here thought like me while we were ascending the world stage. Now they think like you while we swirl down your toilet of agnostic relativism. What you cannot understand is that my talking like this does not affect my genuine affection for you one bit Ephrem. Quite the opposite actually. Come up with some better examples. There are some ya know.

Too bad this country was formed on principles that separated itself from religion. Most people in our history were Christian so naturally they thanked God for the countries success.

I knew we could find some common ground. I really don’t think we are that much different from one another, just different ideas on how to fix the same problems.

You did mean well though too. I was actually laughing that hard, but it wasn’t meant to be derisive as difficult as that may be to believe.

You are equating sex with murder. You think sex is similar to religion, or that they be treated similarly.

This is the real problem, not sex-ed.

Sex is biology, it’s not depraved, negative or to be ignored.

The fact that so many parents find sex too sensitive an issue to be taught in school says nothing about sex itself, but speaks volumes about the mindset of those parents.

Teach kids about all religions. Teach them about sexuality, about their bodies and the consequences of their curiosity. Sex is not something to shy away from.

In my opinion.

No, “comprehensive” sex education morally evaluates the issue of sex and teaches that morality to kids. The biology of sex isn’t even what’s being discussed. I don’t think anyone in this thread has said the biology shouldn’t be taught.

And again, they don’t teach any religion. Teaching kids Christianity, would be telling them Jesus is lord. They don’t do that and shouldn’t do that. Nor should they instruct kids in liberal secular moral codes.

We’ve been waiting for the end of days for a couple of millenia now, I think it’s safe to say it isn’t coming.

But rest assured, I’m mocking you, not god. Perhaps it’s not fair of me as you are quite insane, but your are consistent, I grant you that.

Christianity had it’s chance, we call it the dark ages.

I’d like to welcome you into the age of reason, but it seems you have abandoned reason. But enough of this, bickering is unnecessary and I do wish you well.

If your nightmares come true, you’ll gonna need it.

I didn’t say anything about the end of the world Ephrem. You did. See how subconsciously YOU exalt and idolize the United States to the point where someone predicting HER demise sounds to you like the demise of the earth? I am not so crass or arrogant myself. This nation is entirely expendable to the God who could extinguish the universe simply by ceasing to uphold it’s existence. We haven’t had an age of reason yet ol buddy.

You teach kids about Christianity, and you don’t teach a liberal secular moral code, you teach kids about their reproductive organs and what behaviour leads to pregnancy.

Forget it DD, again I find myself shouting across an great cultural divide, and that’s nobodies fault but my own.

The end of civilisation as we know it might very well be the end of the world, and whether you like it or not, all our fates are connected to the fate of the USA.

And yes, you are that arrogant.

Teaching kids how to have anal sex, putting condoms on with your mouth, est. are not lessons in biology.
