CONDOM BROKE!!!!! Help

Congratulations, when are you having the baby shower?

Fair enough. You brought up a good point. But here’s what you can do. EDUCATE WOMEN about the penis. For example, some women think we control our penis like a muscle, And if you dont immediately get an erection you have lost interest in her. People are incredibly stupid, male and female. So cut the group some slack.

Yes Mr Sewerhooker, you are correct in that women have an equal responsibility. Just look at the welfare roles and you can see that there is a lack of knowledge in women also. However, I still am saying, to both women and men, if you don’t know how to play the game, stay on the sidelines. Ignorance is neither justified nor pretty.

does anyone know anybody who got pregnant while on the pill?

Yes, I know people that have gotten pregnant while on birth control. Most times, it was due to something that interfered with the birth control (like an antibiotic).

actually the incident occured sunday night so tonight would be only 48 hours. should she still take it or not? Dr. Ruth, feel free to answer my question since you are so knowledgable in the area.

Actually Nic the chances of your partner being pregnant about .5 in 100 but, if you are not prepared to be parents at this time, I would head to Planned Parenthood first thing in the morning just to be 100% safe.

ok, first of all i have references to back all this up, so let me know if you want them. according to consumer reports 10% of all condoms are defective. women can only get pregnant for about 36 hours, but sperm can live in a woman for seven days - i’ll let you do the math. it is NOT uncommon for women to get their period the first two months of pregnancy. doubling up condoms makes them break. the pill is 99.9% effective when taken correctly, when she is not sick, when she is not on antibiotics, and when she does not over consume alcohol. orgasm does not trigger ovulation. the morning after pill only prevents the ovum from attaching to the uterine wall, it does not prevent conception. ovulation occurs mid way through a woman’s cycle which, when not regulated by pills, can be anywhere from 20 - 36 days long and can be affected by stress, diet, and sleeping. where am i going with all this information? (perhaps you should have payed more attention in 8th grade health class) you shouldn’t be having sex with anyone you don’t want to have kids with. unless one of you have been ‘fixed’ nothing is 100% at stopping pregnancy.

thanks for the replies. i agree with your comments about not having sex with someone you don’t want to have kids with. i have really started to realize how serioous of an isssue this can be and hopefully i will use my head on my neck to make better decisions for now on instead of my other head. i read on plannedparenthood.com that it is not possible to have a period and still be pregnant. they did say that it is possible to bleed while being pregnant, but it would be very rare. since this was right around the time my girlfriend was due for her period everything should be allright.

Dr. Ruth posts here? Now TC Luoma’s gotta write a whole nother Atomic Dog article and once again redefine T-Mag’s demographic.

Eric, I subscribe to a service that points me to bulletin boards where there is a post with showing complete lack of sexual knowledge so that I may chime in with my two cents worth. By the way, what’s a TC? Tipped Clitoris? I am not sure how that relates to an atomic dog or even what an atomic dog may be. I hope this isn’t one of those disgusting bestiality site.

Great post. I have always suspected that vaginas came with an owners manual, and apparently you have read yours. You are quite right that bottom line, if you have sex with a woman not on BC, you had better be willing to have a kid with her. Remember guys, once she is pregnant, it is her call. If you think abortion is murder, and she wants to get rid of it, she can. If you want her to get rid of it, and she wants to have it – and make you support it, she can. Words to the wise.

well, i figure i need to be informed because the world is not ready for a mini me. i am honestly amazed at some of the misinformation i read here about sex. sorry guys, you shouldn’t be haveing sex if you know nothing at all about reproduction besides inset tab a into slot b. you’re just asking for trouble… put on a hat and sunglasses and sneek into a bookstore to buy a copy of ‘mindblowing sex in the real world’ or ‘sex for dummies’ or ‘our bodies ourselves’ you’ll learn all about how NOT to make a baby, how NOT to catch something, and maybe some fun stuff too. i spent 4 years in college doing presentations on ‘sex issues’ and had college juniors asking if blow jobs could get the girl pregnant. now i’m not saying any of you are that misinformed, but you should at least know the basics before you put yourself at risk for parenthood!!!

At med school we were taught that stress could initiate ovulation and that it was the reason that victims of rape actually are more likely to get pregnant than two concenting partners.
I know that you spoke about orgasm not initiating ovulation but I thought that the mechanism would be similar but less with a normal orgasm

how can an immature egg be fertalized? that takes time and certian hormones. also, at the wrong time in the cycle the uteris is not prepared to support a fertalized egg. i’m not saying you’re wrong and i’m right, just looking for information. thanks!

Strange things happen - some women can get pregnant within days of their period stopping (my mom) and some people have periods for the duration of their pregnancies (a lady I work with and my mother in law BOTH!) As a matter of fact, the doc’s told my mom in law she had a “virus” for 5 months of her pregnancy with my husband. Granted - she was very poor and her care was free. Obviously to doctor was “poor” too. Point being - be safe. Take better precautions than condoms. Some women get pregnant really easy. I, as an example, twice decided to get pregnant, and both times was pregnant before the month was up. Didn’t take me months of trying. I’m careful as heck now, so that I don’t get pregnant by accident. Women’s cycles don’t often go according to a text book.

Huck: that was some funny shit! The “vagina
owners manual” LMAO

Michelle: You go girl! Good info.

Out of curiosity, is there a certain place where condoms rip more than others? For instance is it always the tip… I’ve never actually had a broken condom so I was just wondering.
And to the guy who swore off sex with his girlfriend until she got birth control. Stop fooling yourself. I’ve swore off sex 100 of times, not to mention all the times I made a deal with God and told him I would stop doing it until I was married if he would just keep my girlfriend from being pregnant. So far, he’s held up his end of the deal.
