Hey guys, I am on TRT (posting here because the T Replacement category appears to be unavailable). Just got my sperm lab-tested, and the results are discouraging.
They were unable to perform some of the tests due to low sperm count.
I take 175 mg T-cyp per week, and was planning to add a low dose of scrotal cream for libido, but I have not been taking HCG. I’ll certainly do so now. Do you think I’ll need to come off T completely to regain fertility? Should I consider anything other than HCG?
You are surprised by this? your LH and FSH is shut down when you are on TRT.
One option is - You can take HCG to restore your testicle size for a few weeks, then come off, and restart your natural T with a Clomid restart protocol and you should if everything is working in order be able to get your mrs pregnant in a few months.
You can stay on TRT and increase LH and FSH too but I am unfamiliar with what to take here, someone else may be able to help, but it is possible, I know HCG will increase LH but you also need FSH for sperm production and health.
Interesting. My doctor prescribed HCG but said FSH is something you’d get from a fertility doctor. In the accounts I’ve read of guys on TRT regaining fertility, almost all seem to use HCG, but I haven’t seen much talk of FSH.
I would love input: Is FSH that important? In other words: if I can get my wife pregnant with HCG only, is there increased risk of something going wrong (because I didn’t use FSH too)? I wonder if Defy could prescribe FSH if it is, in fact, needed…
