Concerned About High Oestradiol on TRT – Need Advice

Hi all,

Please excuse me if this is in the wrong section of the forum.

I’m a 35-year-old male who trains 5-6 times a week in the gym. I started TRT five weeks ago at a dose of 150mg/week (split into two pins of 75mg each). I recently completed my first post-TRT blood work and am concerned about my oestradiol levels, which seem quite high.

Here are my lab results:
• Oestradiol: 506 pmol/L (< 150)
• Testosterone: 41 nmol/L (10.0-33.0)
• Free Testosterone (calculated): 1312 pmol/L (150-700)

For context, my diet hasn’t been terrible—about 75% clean, whole foods. However, over the past two weeks, I’ve been under significant work-related stress and have consumed more alcohol than usual (normally 1-2 drinks a week, but it’s been much higher lately due to work functions). I realize this might have impacted my levels.

That said, I don’t have any symptoms of high oestradiol that I can think of. My libido is good, my energy levels are great, and overall, I’m feeling amazing.

I’m new to TRT and want to avoid taking additional medications (e.g., aromatase inhibitors) unless absolutely necessary. Do these results suggest my dose might be too high? Should I consider lowering it?

I’ve already decided to cut alcohol completely and focus on reducing stress. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated, as I want to ensure I’m managing this correctly without unnecessary interventions.

Thanks in advance!

Congrats, looks like you are off to a great start.
