Coming Off Anastrozole

Been a while since I posted. Seeking some guidance.
So I’ve been on TRT for 6 years now. For the most part its been awesome and allowed me to enjoy a better quality of life and allowed me to compete in powerlifting meets throughout my 30’s. Im currently 37 years old and my standard 150/mg test cyp divided into 3 doses/week (subq). Along with .25 ai on injection days = on average on my labs my test is around 1000 and e2 around 25 which sound like good numbers however i had some achy joints (which could just chalk it up to heavy lifting for 15 years) and researching that i should get off anastrozole. And my urologist suggested that I go off for a few months.
So after 2 weeks of being off the anastrozole my energy levels are comepletly zapped and my workouts have sucked. Im tempted to jump back to the AI. Should I wait it out? Need guidance from others that have did the same thing…

Have you thought about adding DECA? It helps with the joints.

Have you thought about trying 0.125 mg on injection days? Kinda a middle ground.

Please don’t suggest PEDs to guys on the TRT forum. I mean he could try opiates, cocaine and a bunch of other things. That doesn’t mean they are good for him.

Deca doesn’t help in the erections department.

The same thing happened to me at any dosage, even 0.050. It sounds like you’re crushing your estrogen metabolism with the anastrozole.

You don’t need more drugs, you need to reduce your TRT dosage.

Wait it out til you bounce back. This happens with any hormonal change. Allowing things to happen naturally is taxing you because its not the norm for the last 6 years. You’re fluctuating. Gotta wait it out or you will never know.

I had a similar experience. I was on 160mg test per week, split into 2 doses per week, with .25mg anastrozole 24 hours post injection. My total t at trough was around 800, and my E2 was in the low to mid 20’s. My doc said it was a great E2 level. My feet hurt so badly after work, that I couldn’t walk. I did some research, concluded that the anastrozole may be causing aching feet, so I found a way to get off the ai. I’d say for the first month or so, I was more physically tired at night, but within a week of dropping the AI, my feet stopped hurting. After that first month, I wasn’t as tired, and I gained a sense of well-being that I never had for the 7 plus years that I was on trt with an AI. I’d give it time to adjust.

I would consider that pretty low for TT of 1000ng. You could scale the AI use back for a couple weeks, re-assess, and go from there
