Comic Book Movie: Deadpool

If they made it… who would you cast as Deadpool?

imo, Ryan Reynolds was born for the role.

Have someone like Kevin Smith direct it or otherwise it will be a double entree of poopoo.

Gotta agree on Ryan Reynolds, he would do good on lead. There anything official about this? Rumours?

Isn’t Ryan Reynolds already playing Deadpool in the Wolverine Movie?

So it seems, hopefully he will do good (well the writers more so) and it’ll spin-off…

wow. damn

id like to think i did that by esp but god knows i probably read it and forgot

go figure…

I don’t care who they cast as long as he is fucking muscly. I am sick of seeing scrawny ass ‘superheroes’ in movies nowadays.

Jackman as Wolverine and Maguire as Spiderman were huge letdowns from this perspective. I can’t understand how society finds these people as ‘muscular’.

I don’t think it would even matter as long as he had the body for it. His costume covers everything. LOL, they could even just dub some actor’s voice for it.

I agree about the letdown with Maguire as spiderman. He was FAT in the last movie. Full on! There’s a scene where his shirt rips and you can see a fat roll. Spiderman is not supposed to be fat.

And Wolverine’s supposed to be 5’4" not 6’4", but that’s a rant I won’t impose on all of you.

Spidey is supposed to be small and scrawny. He was a college kid for most of his comic run. I’ve never thought of Wolverine as somebody who should be jacked, just big. When you have an adamantum skeleton you don’t need big muscles.

I just hope Reynolds can make Deadpool funny. Ben Affleck being too wooden ruined “Daredevil”.

Well, that and the fact that he was Ben Affleck also had a lot to do with why it failed. I don’t know how the hell his name came up in the casting meeting.

I was gonna mention that. I love Deadpool, probably my favourite character in the Marvel Universe.

Me too. I like him because he has a lot of charisma, and his puwers are practically ridiculous.

I thought he was pretty good in Blade Trinity and proved he can do the whole actiony thing.

Just pissed Tom Jane isn’t doing the next Punisher movie.

How big do you want the actor to be ? I mean, Jackman is by no means a small man after he bulks up for the X-men movies.

Dont forget, at some point in the movie these people will have to speak, you cant just cast Ruhl and Cutler in every movie about a comic book character, atleast not in the lead role.

Now the giant fuck up that was Vinnie Jones in X3, clearly a bodybuilder could have pulled off those 3 lines, but for the most part, i dont let the fact that Wolverine isnt a lean 250 take me out of the movie.

Wolverine is also only supposed to be like 5"2, but im not gonna complain about that am I ?
