Sounds to me like another guy who doesn’t want to get “too big” because it is “impractical”. Maybe if the author listened to the huge guys givinghim advice, he could avoid being the guy who goes to the gym day after day, lifts the same light weights in the same poorly designed routine and never gets anywhere. Up until that paragraph, it was entertaining.
