Sooners and Noles has to be #1
Should be a good game, I see an upset with the Noles taking the win.
Now that would be entertaining…

LSU vs Miss State tonight. Anyone think we could see an upset tonight?

I don’t see it happening, but those guys will be crackin’ heads all night. Both sides.

But if you asked me what SEC team I secretly pull for it’s Mississippi State. I’m a big fan of Mullen. He’s a motivator and puts his kids in position to win.

They had War Eagle by the nutsack last week, game of inches boys.

Well anything is possible, but that LSU defense is awful tough. Doubt it…

I pick LSU tonight.

Saturday, Oklahoma and Ohio State both win.

Other games of note, possible upsets:
Notre Dame over Michigan State?
Illinois over Arizona State (letdown for ASU after big win last week)

Notre Dame absolutely HAS to win over MSU. I believe they can. Brian Kelly is a winner. Every school he’s coached has turned around and succeeded, but the spotlight was never on him like it is for the Irish.

I like ASU’s quarterback, I think they’re due to make some noise.

To be honest, I think Notre Dame will lose again this week. Things just seem out of sorts for that team.

I agree. I think Brian Kelly is kind of a jerk too. What he did to Cincy last year was inexcusable. Then he’s running around yelling and screaming and pitching a fit mid game. I don’t know. I just have a hard time respecting coaches that leave their teams high and dry. It shows a lack of integrity, loyalty and trust. The problem is that your demanding just that of your players. But I like Notre Dame, I just think this year may be a bust and I don’t think Kelley will be coaching next year.

I remember when Petrino ditched the Falcons. I am still pissed about it. That’s why I want the Razorbacks to lose every single game under his ass.

Yea man but how many coaches are fired without real reason, Leach?

Coaching is a gypsy trade, these guys have to get what they can.

Just my opinion but my feeling is if the School has not devotion to the coach why should the coach?

It does my heart good to see you’re on the Leach wagon, and that I may have helped.

Coach Kelly has the resume man, he started at Grand Valley State, took them to IIA championships, then Central Michigan and turned them into some serious business for a few seasons. Then Cinci, where he was getting low-level Division 1 press and legitimately turning them into a contender.

But ND? Whole new ball of wax man. He’s done nothing but succeed and he already has his 1st season under his belt at ND.

I don’t dig what he did to Cinci either, nor do I like Petrino, Rodriguez, even Urban Meyer.

Nor do I like how War Eagle did Tommy Tubberville, or how the Red Raiders boned Leach. It’s shady business, all of it. But ultimately it’s business.

Take where I work right now. I like it here, they’ve been loyal to me and I to them, but if something happens where I’m in a position to better myself and my family’s situation I will take it in a heartbeat. Without a blink.

You have a point…But you still have to tell your players with a strait face that they need to leave it out on the field for the team and for the school, when the coach may not…

Its a flaw in the system Pat for sure, cant argue that. But like Brad just said, I get paid well but if something more secure and higher pay came along well I do have a family.

Also if you knew that you were one hit away from your star QB taken out and your season fucked?
Coaches have serious fucking stress.

Mizzou leader: OU controls Big 12 future

http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefootball/story/Missouri-chancellor-Brady-Deaton-says-Big-12-fate-largely-rests-with-Oklahoma-091511

Any guess what OU is gong to do? Sounds like the future of the Big 12 is on their shoulders.

Speaking of, is there three good teams out there to bring into the Big 12 should OU remain? I remember some talk earlier in the thread but the more I think about it, how many programs out there are consistently good? even elite? With the discussion about the four mega conferences I have trouble figuring out where the teams would fall. It is almost as if the current conferences would need to be ripped asunder to even out the talent in each conference (which would be the only was a playoff system would work without “the third place team in the SEC could beat all the other teams…”).

The reason I ask is I suspect that OU will be looking out for themselves but have to consider the landscape of the game should they leave. Would stacking yourself in a tougher conference actually help? Or, would shaping the Big 12 into a respectable conference you can dominate would get you to the important post-season games better?

Coaches poll has TCU 23 and Baylor 24.

How the motherfuck does that happen? Not that it matters, suppose because Baylor didn’t play last week.

Anyway, Bulldogs did what they could last night. LSU is a great squad, that offensive line is a 10ft brick wall.

That was a physical game. I am trying to compare this LSU defense to the Championship defenses and I think this is one is better with more talent across that whole side of the ball. They are swarming and stifling.

Imagine how physical LSU-Alabama will be in a few weeks.

They don’t have a flashy offense but the “we are bigger and will wear you down” scheme could carry them a long way this season.

I don’t see FSU pulling it out. Interestingly, my friend who goes to FSU said she couldn’t get a ticket to this week’s game. Normally, they give the tickets away for free, and even then they have trouble selling em out.

Guess a lot of Oklahoma fans made the trip.

Pitt and Syracuse are looking to join the ACC, full memberships.

Auburn again making it interesting or are they going to outright lose?
