Also now we have reason for to over spend for Submarines and all the conventional war tools that were becoming so obsolete in the post cold war era .
Oh, no? The nuclear triad is no longer relevant? What else is obsolete Clauswitz junior?
I will bet we will double down on ships , subs ,tanks and the like a resurgence of Conventional Warfare

Those weapons platforms are necessary for any spectrum of warfare. Again, what is “so obsolete”?
You will have to excuse me if I say BULL SHIT

How are any of those weapon systems obsolete? They could all be argued to be vital in actions as unconventional as counter-insurgency operations.
We have the best conventional army in the world, in the sense of the cold war had ended decades ago there was no need to bolster our conventional forces (hence obsolete) . I will agree not the best choice of word

My point was , I am betting we will spend shit loads of money bolstering an already superior conventional force . That is not needed

Weapon systems need I be replaced and upgraded over the course of nearly a quarter of a century. That’s a qualitative vs quantitative improvement.

No they don’t at present we are far superior to any one , could money buy better , yes . But we don’t need that

The US may be the global hegemon but it lacks the most fundamental element: resolve. A handful of casualties and it’s “Hell no! We won’t go!” A sorry state of affairs that no superiority of arms can ameliorate.
