Thanks Jokerz for the advice. I appreciate it. Also, Simon and everyone else has some really great points, like the post that only says “Virgin” in it. Not only is it totally void of any kind of advice whatsoever, it also has ZERO entertainment value. It’s not even funny. So why not just keep it to yourself? What are you actually trying to accomplish. Thanks for the advice from all the doormen and bouncers and people with experience though.

“Clubs” are lame man. They’re for lame/fake ass people who want to look more important than they are. If you’re an in shape (we’re on T-Nation so you should be) decent looking guy then just go to any bar/whatever, show some self confidence and you’ll have girls all over you. Trust me man… its worked for me for years (also helps if you have a sweet mustache)

Bouncers are EASILY paid off. Everyone wants money. Most bouncer’s will take 20-50 tops for a single person to get in.
He will not call the cops. He won’t make a scene. He’ll look you in the eye for a quarter of a second and then dismiss you from his mind. You don’t matter to him.
This whole conversation is usless though. When you go to the door you are going to be so absurdly nervous and awkward the bouncer won’t even be able to put up with you. You won’t get in and won’t be able to drink unless you calm the fuck down.

In Manitoba where I grew up the drinking age is 18, so I think I would’ve went a little nuts if you’d told me I couldn’t go to bars for 3 more years.
I think it used to be 18 not too long ago in Texas. Maybe in the last 20 yrs? Not sure. It’s kind of stupid, you can fight and die for your country, the military will put you in training to operate million dollar pieces of equipment (yeah, I know, you won’t be flying a jet when you are 18, but the put you in training to do it under the impression you have the ability), carry weapons of war, kill people, smoke, aquire a CDL licence. But they arn’t gonna let you drink beer? Why? I understand their argument. Studies show 18 yrs. vs. 20+ equals more cognitive ability/more rational thinking, brain development, ect. whatever. But in that case, shouldn’t it be the same across the board? And in all honesty, if you aren’t responsible enough when you are 18 to drink and to keep yourself under control/ make good sound decisions based on good judgement, than IMO you probably shouldn’t be able to do a lot of other stuff either, because chances are, you’re a dumbass.
Explain that to the doorman.

Kinda depends anywhere from 20-50 or more depending on if I like your story, personality etc.
I don’t work at an upper-end nightclub. I’m in a relatively small city, we’ll do like 5-600 on a really good night.

Not worth it in a big city trendy nightclub if you’re working the door because the door comes with too many other perks (if the promoter isn’t taking the “cut line” $$$ smfh). You can make very decent “tip” money just letting people in that are of age or letting them to the front of a long line. No need to fuck with underage drinkers or do anything else that might lose you the door post. In a small city, slower club, I can see doing it though lol. I still prefer inside where the action is…not too many fights at the door
I did work one small place in central PA many years ago where I did the “two for them, one for me” admission price, which did turn out to be lucrative LOL.
