Clomid Restart Years Later

Hey there,

29 healthy male, 170lbs 5’10, about 13% bf, train 6 days a week for over 10 years

When I was 21 I ran two cycles, never felt the same after the second PCT which involved clomid, hcg ect.

Fast forward to a recent blood test:
Nov 14, 2025
Estradiol: 49pmol/L. (Ref: <160 pmol/L)
SHBG: 44nmol/L (Ref: 6 - 65 nmol/L)
Total Testosterone: 12.2nmol/L (Ref: 8 - 35 nmol/L)
Free Testosterone: 203pmol/L (Ref: 175 - 700 pmol/L)

Was prescribed 25mg of Clomid a day - Results
Jan 12, 2026
Estradiol: 133pmol/L
SHGB: 60nmol/L
Total Testosterone: 35.4nmol/L
Free Testosterone: 563pmol/L

Dropped to 25mg of clomid every second day - Results
Feb. 9 2025
Estradiol: 159pmol/L
SHGB: 62nmol/L
Total Testosterone: 33nmol/L
Free Testosterone: 517pmol/L

Erections were amazing for the first two weeks I was on clomid, as if I was 16. I felt back to normal for the first time since 21. But then things are back to not being the greatest.

From what I’ve looked into, this is common on clomid due to either estrogen raising or the fact that its a SERM and not enough estrogen is binding mimicking low estrogen sides

I need advice on what to do next. If I come off clomid, I’m hoping I’m restarted and I’m able to maintain decent test levels and things balance out to where I’m feeling good naturally. If my test falls then I’d consider trt.

Considering that clomid raised my test levels so much, I do have hope that I’m able to recover and find a good t/e ratio where I’m feeling good.

I have 3 weeks worth of clomid 25mg to take every second day, should I continue with this and discontinue and then go for bloods months later?

Is it high E causing poor erections now? Like I mentioned, my first two weeks on clomid I could fuck all day every day…

Thanks in advanced for suggestions.

Couple comments here.

If these are your stats you really need to reevaluate your diet and training. Your lean body mass is under 150lbs at 5’10"

Your test has come up and estrogen will follow so it’s no surprise that estrogen is higher after starting.
Why did you change your dose after only a few weeks? It takes your body much longer then that to adjust.
What is the Dr saying?

Thanks for your response, I was on 25mg ED for 6weeks, after my bloods (Jan 12) I was told by doc to drop to EOD, then was tested again (Feb 9th)

Whole plan going into this with the Doc was a potential restart and then hope my levels hold once I’m off; if they fell to around levels before then trt. But today, it’s like they didn’t remember ever talking to me before, so I asked what’s next and was told to continue your levels are good, as if they wanted me to just stay on clomid forever… which is why I’m a bit confused.

As per stats, a guessing my bf, I am pretty lean, I’m no bodybuilder. For the sports I do, flipping/spinning my bikes and skis becomes more difficult at 180 and above. Have been squatting 3 plates and benching 275 for probably 8 years now, no progressive overload. My plan once I figure everything out with my hormones is to add size, lean 185 would be the goal.
