Nice arm day. Grippers were good! Momentum, like I’m making week to week progress and still feeling there’s room to improve for awhile.
And, inspired by the Ivanko Super Gripper, i realized I can make any one of my Ironmind grippers harder by just moving my hand Up the handle a little bit. Worse leverage = more difficult close. Hey Oh!
I had to go furniture shopping and missed my workout yesterday. 1/2 price sale! We ended up with a nice new mattress so I can’t complain much. Also a rug and TV stand. Then the stuff that became 2nd tier got shuffled into other rooms and the oldest shit got tossed. Dumping the rattiest, most out of place stuff really felt like a huge update to the house.
I’m down to just 1 piece of furniture from college.
Weight gain continues. I’m getting a little soft so this phase may be coming to an end soon. All my lifts increased and my resting heart rate is actually lower than when i started. I probably actually gained a pound or two muscle!
Yeah, I can’t believe it! Its wild to look at pictures and see how little she used to be.
Everyone is telling me about it lately too! We were digging around in the garden Sunday and there was a lineman working in a bucket truck in the next yard. We waved and after awhile he came over to say Hi. We were BSing and he mentioned how his daughter used to follow him around and be his little helper. Now she’s 11 and to busy for dad. Dude’s story made me a little sad.

Last week of the program. Pretty quick pace. Tris were feeling it from the first set.
Thursday we went to the in-laws farm to help work on the steel building they’re (slowly) building out there. Sunshine, ladders, sharp edges and razor-like ribbons of steel. Thankfully messing with the grippers has toughened my hands so I didn’t get any cuts.
Friday kiddo and I went for a little walk and ended up climbing to the top of the ridgeline behind the house. While it’s not the Rockies, it was a 30 minute uphill walk that kiddo did barefoot. And the first time we’ve been up there together, so that was cool.
I also ate enough to make weight this moring. What a nice few days.
