Classic Characters from T Nation

Well, not the ‘Leaner’ part so much…

@T3hPwnisher @EyeDentist appreciate the context. Obviously I haven’t been here long, and it’s tough to figure out some past events on here, haha.

I mean more they went and made that forum specifically as a result of his commentary. But also an accurate statement.

Ya, was just yanking yer chain. But IIRC, you’re right that conflicts involving him were part of the impetus re the creation of BSL.

Thanks, brings back memories. There was one of those where he was doing lunges, in a very discoordinate fashion, I remember he was pretty egged on by the functional crowd for that.

There were also some prof X memes going around if I remember correctly.

Lol that was pretty spot on.

IOW - he would have blended in like a ninja in PWI lol.

I thought he more or less got badgered off the site after the videos - for being pretty large but relatively weak. Not sure though.

If he was such an ass how did he end up in the coaching video series thing?

Dude was a loyal Biotest customer for like a decade. Him and a few others earned the trip.

There was a time when he was pretty helpful, albeit abrasive, which wasn’t bad. Then the video thing, and some time passed. As it went on he went from abrasive to insulting and was constantly going at and badgering certain posters, to the point of just wrecking every topic they participated in.

It was kind of wierd. Over the course of like 7 or 8 years as other people were moving up, moving on, going pro in some cases, he just kept getting more angry and frustrated, aunching personal attacks and over all just becoming seemingly very bitter.

I really don’t think X changed much in his time here and I don’t think it was his fault he got booted. I think his downfall was just that he fell out of favor with the masses. Partly due to those videos where people saw he wasn’t really all that, and also because other posters, such as Stu, came into favor as the go-to guys for training.

For a long time he had his minions for support but when he lost his support group, the masses would turn on him in every thread and those threads would become shit storms. TN couldn’t have every thread be a shit storm so, even though X wasn’t really doing anything wrong, they had no choice but to ban him.

Hey, quick Hijak If you don’t mind. All this PX talk reminded me of this YouTube chick you all should check out named Natasha Aughey. She does PX style bulking (bag of burgers and a bunch of doughnuts) yet stays incredibly lean.

She’s also incredibly muscular. Honestly, the upper body is too muscular for me but the legs and ass will always keep me coming back. I can also always count on her to not make me listen to crappy music. Hang on, I’ll go find a video.

Here’s one with an upper workout and she doesn’t cry about not being warmed up… like some people… Oh man I miss PX.

It’s bullshit. So’s all the nonsense about him being “sad” despite being a dentist and earning a lucrative income. When people make a claim like this without even knowing the guy other than what he posts on an internet forum, it’s obviously bullshit. He had other valuable insights pertaining to things like thought processes during decision making and stuff like that. I’ve been on this site since 2000 or earlier and stayed because of him. If I didn’t start posting right before he left, I would have left too.

He hasn’t made an announcement or anything that he’s done with the forum, but it’s been ages since I’ve seen @flipcollar post here.

I was just thinking that. Hope he comes back.

I don’t think we should discuss anyone’s financial situation here, but if I recall the rumors correctly, his practice didn’t too especially well (cue jokes about him spending all day arguing on a bodybuilding forum). He was a big fan of the sport, but in some strange way, seemed to feel that gave him the be-all-end-all say in any discussion about training or nutrition, or that his DDS degree was the ultimate trump card when anyone disagreed with him.

He was a decently big dude,… not pro-big, which I think became a sore point for him as multiple posters on the site who were knowledgeable and accomplished started turning pro, hanging out with actual IFBB pros, and then of course the videos poking a few holes in his online mystique.

I’m sure there are plenty of crazy threads from that era that’d be a hoot to reread now.
