Christmas Sucks
steadfastred wrote:

What??? Christmas, like the fourth of July, is a 100 times better in Afghanistan. It’s one of the few places on earth where you can celebrate the winter solstice by firing RPG’s into old BMPs or shooting star clusters randomly into the air. A place where you can snuggle up to a fat tailed sheep or ride a camel while wearing a turbine.

And if you are lucky you can drink yourself silly on home brewed vodka or distilled near beer. It’s like christmas all juiced up.

To quote Linus quoting Luke:

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them,

Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

You selfish fucks who think it is a chore because you actually have to work, or think it is too much work can fuck off.

Those of you who don’t believe in the true meaning of Christmas can go shove a yule log up your ass.

I worked two jobs and my wife and I sold our plasma so we could enjoy the look on the faces of our two kids when they got stuff we could only afford to give them once a year.

It is pathetic how spoiled and selfish some of you worthless fucks are.

This post is just awesome, so much for good will toward men eh Rainjack? lol

He was being facetious, I assume. In the US, you need an undergraduate degree (4 years) before starting law school (3 years) (although some states may let you sit for the bar without going to law school).

Merry Christmas, everyone. I’m off to rep 500 lbs on my bench.

I don’t celebrate Christmas, but then again I’m Jewish. When I hear “Christmas” I think chinese food, because that’s what my family generally eats for Christmas dinner. Christmas day is a great time to go skiing though, seeing as no one is out on the hill - everybody is too busy opening presents. Nothing for me to do except tear up some empty runs.

Come to think of it, Christmas is awesome. I love Christmas, I just don’t celebrate it.

Sensible post. Happy Chanukkah.

Christmas is great. Merry Christmas!

I agree Christmas is a HUGE waste of time and money. But hey some people enjoy it and I do my best to stay out of their way and let them enjoy it even though I want nothing to do with it.

That’s what I’m doing. I’m going boarding at Wisconsin with my sister from the 25th through the 28th.

fucking morons.

Your moms couldn’t afford to keep the lights on, and you were talking about paying $50, or whatever the fuck it was, on some “please fuck me in the ass” pants.

I can afford to buy what I want AFTER I pay for what I need.

How do you not understand just how much of a fucking punk-assed little bitch you are?

you mean you can afford what you want after you sell your own blood? try again you salty old fuck.

I don’t know what planet you live on where calling someone old or referring to their age is a great comeback. Most of the time, all that it means when someone is older is (1) they’ve advanced a lot farther in their career, (2) they make more money than you, and (3) they have more opportunities than you. If you think 30 is some mystical benchmark for something, it is – disposable income.

Believe me, no one that’s older wants to trade places with a younger kid still living in their parents’ basement.
let me explain something to you (why is it i have to constantly educate people older than me?), when someone is 60 years old and posting on a BBing website its a great comeback to mock their age. why? well my simple friend it is because bodybuilding is all about vanity, theres nothing vain about being old and wrinkled and the ONLY way you can still even add muscle is through drug use. i think its pretty funny to rub that in their face.

its almost as funny as pointing out the hipocrisy in someone who will spend money to improve their appearance through drugs, supplements, and gym time that trys to make fun of someone for improving their appearance through nice clothes. vanity is vanity regardless of what outlet you choose to use it.

You shouldn’t be buying protein powder, drugs and gym memberships if you can’t afford your electric bill either.

the internet went downhill when people over 30 found out about the internet.

but whats even more pathetic is the fact that you basically just said your life is the internet.

What is the deal with you and the age of “30”? You are setting yourself up for one hell of a major mid life crisis when you hit 40 if you really think this way. You’re in your early 20’s and have accomplished less than a lot of people by that age. Hell, many people are graduating college by 21 or 22 and moving on to bigger and better things.

Keep on thinking your life falls apart in less than 10 years. It will.

i will be graduating college when im 21. i JUST turned 21 and i have 2 more semesters of school. i have a job, go to school, and take care of my body, i dont know what fucking twilight zone you live in but im actually in the minority bracket.

The minority bracket?

Good luck, you over-achiever, you.
im sorry that going to school, working, and lifting weights doesnt impress you almight professor x. maybe i should spend more time trying to impress people with pointless accomplishments so i can grow up to be miserable like you. im doing everything that is right for me. im comfrotable yet see room for improvement without over doing it and submerging myself in more work than i need or can make use for. but then again thats what you did and youre the cheeriest guy ever. i think ill stick with what im doing because im content with it and understand the importance of balance.

at that rate id save an entire 83 cents a day.

I hate Christmas personally. I’m not Christian, so there goes the reason that people SHOULD be celebrating it right there for me. Personally, if I like my family members, I’ll go out of my way to see them sometimes. I don’t need a special holiday to see them, just so I can forget all about them until next year. If I see a gift for a friend or loved one that they like, I’ll go ahead and buy it for them, I don’t need some holiday to spend an abundance of money all at once for a bunch of gifts for people, when I’m only doing it so that they’re not disappointed about buying something for me and not getting something in return. Is it nice to see someone enjoy something you got them? Sure, but I don’t need a holiday to guilt trip me into getting gifts.

With logic this bulletproof, community college suits you.

i would really love for you to argue how one kind of vanity is somehow superior than another in any way.

you lift weights to look good, you wear clothes to look good. PLEASE differentiate between the two when both outcomes are to look good.

Do $70 “fuck me in the ass pants”(lol) improve your health or help sport performance,Mr.Intellect??? Let me guess, they raise your testosterone levels as well. Your argument is flawed…but thats nothing unusual for you.

thats your argument? health? please. ask how many people serious about bodybuilding give a shit about their “health”. health and bodybuilding are not directly related and 90% of people who ARE concerned with their health arent lifting for size, theyre doing marathons or TBT. im talking about people who lift for look; VANITY. not sports and not health. you lose.

“Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.” - Mark Twain

I’m not quite sure why everyone is making fun of LiveFromThe781. I find it hard to believe that no one here has spent $70 on a pair of jeans. I usually wear Carhartts ($37.50 for the double knee dungaree, thank you very much), but it’s not like I’ve never spent more than that on a pair of pants.

So he cares more about how he looks than whether his house is heated. So what?

And what does this have to do with Christmas.

any topic where theres a disagreeance with me comes back to the same used up attempts at jokes.

the thing is, ive never spent more than $50 on a pair of jeans. i just buy jeans that WERE $100 then when its on sale i buy em. i also buy a pair of jeans like ever couple of months. i have 3 pairs of jeans i wear right now with 2 more coming, O M G!

and god forbid i care about my appearance on a site where the objective is to improve your appearance…wait what am i talking about? its not like theres a sub forum here for rating peoples physiques or anything. i guess i was wrong.

so everyone on this site is a bodybuilder that only lifts to look good??? Your argument is still flawed.
