I never said this was a DC program. I have in the past trained with several veteran DC trainers and I know very well the contents of DC training and diet. I use the protocol they use in terms of ramping weights to the final, all out last max set, [bold]the same thing exactly.[/bold] [/quote]
I was under the impression that this was just called “training with weights” and that DC was a little more specific.
Oh really? You said this:

I have a push day and a pull day. Each workouts centers around the core lifts. A spin off of DC training more or less. General outline below.
push day-
barbell push press
bench press
back squats
angled leg presses
skull crushers
reps around 6-12 with 90-120 second rests, 4-5 sets as needed per exercise. some abs done on off days along with 30 minutes of HIIT cardio (treadmill sprints)
As long as the numbers go up every week in weights lifted I am happy!

You said what you are doing is “DC training more or less” and it is NOT more or less DC. Its a weight lifting program, and thats where the similarity ends. People making posts like yours is the exact reason why Dante tends to post less and less about DC anymore. If you dont know what you are talking about, please do not try to pretend like you do.
Ok well whatever you say bud, go and do your Dc thing and have fun with that. Im done with that issue.
Second issue, these lifts are calcuated from a 3RM testing session. Here at UW-L we grad assistants and the strength coaches here dont ever test via 1RM. We use projected calcuation programs for each lift. If your reps were 5 or less its 98% accurate to a real 1RM value. Thats why my numbers are not rounded.
Third issue, these lifts are 100% legit, I am not exagerating any of these lifts. Hell if I wanted to do that I would have added at least 10-20lbs on each lift!
Fourth issue, YES, I do care about my physique. I am passionate about physique sports in general for my sake and others. I am obviously then concernd with my own looks as a bodybuilder.
Firth and final issue, I took 1st as a teen in 2003, 4th as a light heavy in 2004 and 7th as a light heavy in april 2006. My pic from April 29th 2006 is below.
183lbs and 6’1’’ at 21 years old.
PS…This photo made the Dec 2006 FLEX Magazine also! That was sweet!
Better photo. It’s interesting to me how your contest and off-season photos both showcase weak chest, hamstring, and (especially) calf development. At first I was wondering why you didn’t just post your contest photos first, but I realized that it wouldn’t have impacted your rating all that much anyway.
Hey Klochinator, I think your av is in very poor taste and reflects poorly on you for having it. I could never take anything you say seriously, and as a matter of fact I havent even read your posts on this issue because of it. Not like it really matters, and I dont expect you to change it , but I figured maybe you were actually intellegent, and made a judgement error in using it. /hijack off
Looking good OP, you just need thickness, and you will look great.

ANNNND hijack on.
This is just a silly thing to do, Russ. I think that it is extremely ignorant of you to blatantly disregard the thoughts of another person based on that person’s “appearance” (in this case my avatar) especially since you implicitly claim to value good judgement. It just makes you look like a douchebag for trying to call someone out on something so trivial. And after looking through your profile, I would like to congratulate you on beating anorexia. Well done, Russ.
OP, your competition photos give me a better understanding of where you stand. I’d suggest that your chest needs work, but not as much as your legs do; most notably your calves and hammies (as BF previously noted).
this is why i formaly posted on MD.com…good lord! do any of you even compete? did you know you could do that in this sport? wannabies, makes me sick! layne norton and dave palumbo were right, i shoulda listened before posting here!

Maybe those of us who are yet to compete are the ones wise enough to forgo competing until they have put on appreciable muscle mass. Does that remove our right to criticize you for throwing some pathetic pictures of your skinny ass up here becasue you decided to do a physique contest without actually having a physique?
YOU are the wannabe, Im sorry to break it to you, but its the truth. You are the 180 lb coat hanger who is putting on his fake tan and walking out on stage and flexing your bones and then coming onto forums acting like Joe Badass because you think that makes you a bodybuilder.

What the hell did you expect? I mean, do you honestly think that you have a stage-worthy physique? There are 16 year old kids who have posted pictures with more mass, better symmetry, and equal or better leanness. Have you ever worked your calves? Ever?

oh you know them personally? did they help coach you through your first BB show? were you in the super-heavyweight class cause bro youre fuckin diesed, my bad about the comments before…i was really tired and shit and just in a cranky mood so if you can PM some of your training strategies or your cutting methods id be so stoked. may be the force be with you bro.
It’s funny because even if there’s not that much people who compete on here, the majority have a much more muscle and better symmetry than you. I don’t know why you have such a high opinion of yourself, with what little you’ve accomplished.
Maybe you should open your mind and listen to the criticism and try to progress with it instead of denying what’s obvious.
You look like shit. No where near contest ready. Alot of us aren’t contest ready either, thats why we don’t compete. Your quads are non existent and you are a walking skeleton…why would you compete?
