Good point.
That’s why I’m invested in mp materials. I really think this is one of those areas that I think domestic production is very important.
I also trust the US more to mine rare earth with less environmental impact
A bit strange that with all of the abundance of several raw materials/physical phenomena, the world is hamstrung by trying to produce technology using rare earth material.
hey a new set of emojis for when I facebook…
Nope, nope, and No. No way man.
The irony is that most of them aren’t even that rare. It’s the processing that’s annoying. If tech was better, there wouldn’t be a supply shortage or bottleneck. I trust the us when it comes to tech development
nope…
I thought the same. But was looking at a squirrel in the yard this am and pondered ‘What’s the difference?’ I have eaten squirrel many times in the distant past.
But in the ‘wine’, I don’t get the why.
Guinea pig is better. Squirrel was a bit stringy IMO, but definitely better than rat. Rat was stringy and greasy
In Red River, John Wayne says, “Ten years and I’ll have the Red River D on more cattle than you’ve looked at anywhere. I’ll have that brand on enough beef to feed the whole country. Good beef for hungry people. Beef to make 'em strong and make 'em grow.”
I don’t know of any squirrel ranchers.
It’s been a while but I’ve had squirrel more than once. My dad was poor as shit growing up and squirrel was often on the money.
If we can just crack asteroid mining, then all these issues evaporate. Resource scarcity could become a thing of the past. Alas, all our best minds are in Silicon Valley or Goldman Sachs.
C’mon Elon, I need my space mining ship!
Follow the money amirite ![]()

You’d have thought that asteroids worth trillions would be incentive enough, but apparently algorithms to keep us addicted to phone notifications are the easier path to wealth ![]()
Your saying that there’s a way to pay for stimulus that actually increases economic productivity??!! ![]()
That damn present bias…
Not true, I work in a warehouse
And the smart companies are asking the warehouse and production guys how to be more efficient. Many companies are not tapping into this though.
