Have you had them tested again? Glycinate is the form of mag you want. At bedtime, Id start around 500-750. This helped me eliminate a lot of negative ruminations…seriously it worked.
Not necessarily expected. Some dont feel “great” until they get much higher but more likely due to your free T than total. Do you have blood work from when you had these levels?
Lots of info out there on exposure to jp-8 jet fuel but not much on jp-9 missile fuel.
Sorry, it wasn’t a jet. I knew I messed this up. It was a naval vessel. It required JP fuel that was a lower number probably. I believe the higher the number the more combustable it is. Possibly JP-4? Anyways it’s not that important. I believe I still do have those labs. Let me dig a second and I’ll post if I have them saved.
Here’s my labs when I was feeling pretty good. This was mid 2019. I don’t have the original paper copy anymore so I can’t give specifics on dates. I believe this was after 3 months of treatment. I’m sorry and I can’t even tell you how much Testosterone I was on because I was going on the clinic every week. They said it was Cypionate, but I don’t remember the mg/ml. This lab was taken 2 days after injection. I didn’t take anything else along with it. No AI or HCG.
Prior to this my TT level was 587 which they said was equivalent to a 60 year old man and could explain some of my issues.
Well that explains why you see 1100. Its close to your peak for the week. Looking at this graph (I used 85mg but bodies react diff) you can see the high is over 1200 and the trough around 500. Two days in hits just over 1100. This gives you a mean value of about 930 ng/dL. This isn’t exact but just to outline the number fluctuations. You thought you were high but in actuality not really that high on average but high really based on the timing of the blood draw in relation to your shot.
Yeah thanks for the graph. Makes sense. I may have been burning through a lot or maybe not. I agree with your Honest assessment that if you want TRT you can find it. They’ll give it to you. I sort of appreciate that and I do feel like I’ve exhausted what I can do on my own regarding health, but I’m still weary about jumping on TRT for good just because I will, but hate poking myself, and I’ve got low-moderate Total T as it is. This next lab I’m waiting on will reveal more about the current situation. It just seems crazy that with these clinics the numbers are secondary and symptoms primary, but I guess when the medical system has a range so large it has to be done. I’m actually just scared of having a fucked up time on TRT and finding out it doesn’t help then coming off again, but not being able to from shut down.
Sure its always a concern but reading here over the last few years it sounds like most guys get off and are right back to where they started. Im not a doctor and this is obviously anecdotal. Might require PCT to jump start, not sure.
That’s what happened to me. Year on the a return to pretty much normal -20 TT. If you care I’ll post the new labs here and maybe then you can provide me with a little more. It’ll have Free T with it.
A simple google search could have alleviated your anxieties. This is a fear tactic used by ‘for profit’ clinics to elicit a single response… your signature on the bottom line for treatment. I’m not saying you’re not low. Hell based on your SHBG your likely not ideal, but a sole 587 measurement is damn close to the mean average for a 30 year old. You would be in like the 60th percentile. Also, from multiple samplings of different studies the different between a 60 year old man an a 30 year old man is anywhere from 30-100nng/dl. Not much.
I agree. That’s the tactic. I mentioned above that if you just want TRT you can get it from private medical doctors. Can you clarify your point about SHBG and how it relates to everything when you said, “…likely not ideal.”
I was going to comment the same thing, but figured I would scroll to see if anyone else thought the same. Lol we are thinking the same today.
I don’t know if these clinics go to a workshop where they learn these phrases or something, but every other “should I hop on TRT” thread has something to the effect of “I have the levels of a 80 Y/O man according to the clinic”.
Most men will be around the 500 ng/dL mark. Perhaps closer to 600 ng/dL (I would actually say this is past average though). One can hop on TRT if they choose, but shouldn’t do so because they have been tricked into thinking they have the hormones of an elderly man.
Not in a screwed up sample range. They typically take samples in 10 year age brackets… ie 20-29, 30-39, etc etc. Multiple studies will results in different results sometimes with the older men in one category even having higher samplings than the younger. Point being you will see men in your age bracket averaging around 600nd/dl… right where you are at.
SHBG stand for Sex Hormone Binding Globulin. Its a protein that attaches to sex hormones and regulates how much of your hormones are delviered to the tissues for use. Men with high SHBG will have lower free T while exhibiting normal TT such as yourself. You can be symptomatic this way.
