Charities

Is there anyone out there that donates to charity? If so, what one(s)?

I’m going to start donating to charity, and am wondering if any of you have some good suggestions.

Thanks,

Not sure if they have a chapter in your area but I usually support W.E.A.V.E. (wome escaping a violent environment). I am a little partial to it being that I am a survivor of domestic violence myself.

Why don’t you sponsor a college student? I have a Paypal account set up, PM me for instructions.

Special Operations Warriors Foundation.

It provides for the college education of kids whose fathers were special operations guys (SEALs, Rangers, Special Forces, Delta, etc.) who were killed in the line of duty.

I give to the U.S. Humane Society and The American Cancer Society.

we donate to Multiple Sclerosis, which can hit you out of nowhere. It does seem to run in families, however, and my father-in-law has it; I worry about my wife.

EG,

Good for you! Here are just some ideas for you: YMCA, Red Cross, Boy Scouts Of America, The Salvation Army. There are many worthy places to put your money. Personally, I like to help those who come to the aid of children in some fashion. As I consider kids the real victims of poverty.

Also, it’s not a bad idea to sometimes pitch in by sacrificing your own time to help out. You would be surprised how understaffed some of the more reputable local charities are. You would also be surprised how good it feels to actually get involved.

City Team Rescue Mission. For $1.70 they provide a complete meal to the homeless. Send them $17 and you feed 10 people a hot meal. They also spend 85% of the money doing the job instead of on administrative expenses because much of the support staff are volunteers.

Since I don’t have much money, I usually do volunteer work when I have time, mostly around the holidays.

Oh, and if anyone wants to donate to the jmott Les Paul Savings Foundation, just email me and I’ll direct your funds accordingly

Consider sponsoring a child through world vision. Kids are cool…
