Celebrities in Politics

Oh, I understood, and there’s no malice behind my question. I honestly just found it funny to read the observation of “I don’t think celebrity helps” given the man currently in office, although I do see what you mean regarding the weight of other celebrities that threw an endorsement to HRC.

We are also both smart enough to know that when you take money out of the hands of job creators less jobs will be created. 1+1=2

Well, that is not what I had said. The national democrats are who I was quoting. You cannot come back to me with stuff said on T Nation, or by someone’s Uncle in a bar. The dems run on class warfare and scare tactics …period. And there is no equivalent on the republican side. And just so you understand crazy Lizzie is one of the major spokes people for the left. And she has been and will again be considered for higher office.

Well, if you don’t know the difference between running national advertisements claiming that “the rich do not pay their fair share” and a candidate saying something in private to a room full of supporters I think we are done here.

I think we all knew this before you posted it my friend. But, with less government many more folks have a chance to reach their goals. More government simply keeps people dependent.

Easy question, as I said one year before she lost. She is the single worst candidate that the democrats have ever had as their national nominee. Worse than even…Michael Dukakis. For those too young to know who he is google “Michael Dukakis wearing tank helmet” and you will soon see how bad he was. But…yeah Hillary was worse.

Lol you were the one who asked how lowering taxes impacted the deficit.

National democrats = only POTUS candidates?

This is laughable. But feel free to keep believing it.

So pitting groups against each other matters when the Dems do it, and is totally different when the republicans do it. Gotcha. Guess we’re done here.

Well that was clearly true, I just didn’t get how un-electable she was… Everybody loved Bill, everybody hates Hillary…
I guess that’s just the way it is. Losing to Trump is a message that she literally should never run for President again. She couldn’t beat a guy who has never held office and shot himself in the foot daily…

Beware the daughter…

Given what cesspools of thought-police and extreme leftist, anti free-speech warmongering college campuses have become, college isn’t the dream it once was. A place where you once dared to dream is now a place where you dare not open your mouth because, micro-aggression. Colleges are now where nightmares come true, not dreams.

And I’m also the one who says that lowering taxes will build a larger economy with more people paying taxes.

We can do it any way you want. I don’t recall any republicans running for the Senate that said “dems are lazy” or any of the other things you claimed. They just don’t do it as it won’t help them. The dems use class warfare because it works…some of the time.

You can laugh but while you are laughing provide some real quotes equivalent to “the rich don’t pay their fair share” and “republicans are out to take old people’s social security”.

Fact is at the Presidential level and even lower there is no equivalent with the republicans. I’m not saying they don’t do plenty of other things. But they don’t do this stuff.

All you have to do is give real examples of republicans doing this to the same degree. Simple. If you can’t then we are done here.

Too bad she looks like her dad wearing a wig…

You are spot on.

The only reason that I knew she was going to lose is because people in the middle do not vote the party as they have no basic political philosophy. Instead they vote for the person. It is, has been, and will even become more so, the politics of personality.

What is interesting is if the dems put up another loser like Bernie for example Trump will win again.

Yeah she does look like Webb Hubble

Oh boy,
snicker

That is a strange one. I’d bet that the universities that value high performance and technical difficulty don’t have anywhere near the bullshit that the snow globes have. When people have to work hard and keep their eyes on the prize they don’t have the luxury of engaging in that frivolous bullshit.

Being the proud uncle of 2 VT grads probably biases me a little though.

Janet Reno

The (substantial) support behind Bernie was not his purported solutions, but rather his diagnosis of the problems, some of which Trump picked up on. And he retains that support because he articulated that diagnosis as good as anyone and Trump has abandoned all pretenses he was interested in it in the first place, so he’s the last man standing from 2016 that “got it” in the eyes of many.

Romney - 47%'ers
Trump - Immigrants vs nationals, citizens vs politicans, muslims vs non muslims, 2A people vs gun regs people etc
Pence/Ted Cruz/Insert random repub here - Sanctity of marriage

Those are off the top of my head. I can get you some more specific stuff if you want when I get home from work. I tried to keep with the “POTUS candidate” theme that you seem to like.

I know you’ll just say the Dems do it worse, but since that’s so clearly a point of view thing, I won’t really mind the response.

Edit: and again, to reiterate, I fully acknowledge the Dems do this stuff to. But to act like the republicans are immune to using these tactics is foolish.

As to the original topic - what a revolting development. Most celebrities shouldn’t even be celebrities, let alone be helmsmen at the ship of state.

Well, and if it’s true that Democrats do it openly and Republicans only do it behind closed doors and hope not to get outed, doesn’t that reflect worse on Republicans? At least the Democrats are transparent about it.

That’s a pretty broad generalization. It sounds like you’re basing this on the select news stories you see about sit-ins and protests. Most colleges are not like that.
