Here you go. Yes, it is true. This is the fault of the Catholic Church.
Ohhh, this was inevitable ,and why do we think we were all so High and Mighty
BEFORE all this in the first place?
It’s been a long time coming.

Let’s break down the question a little more:
-
In the context of this thread (preferably relevant to both the original post and the George Carlin video): what was inevitable?
-
In the context of this thread (preferably relevant to both the original post and the George Carlin video): what is an example of how we were so High and Mighty before “all this”?
-
In the context of this thread (preferably relevant to both the original post and the George Carlin video): what is the “all this”, prior to which we were all so High and Mighty?
-
In the context of this thread (preferably relevant to both the original post and the George Carlin video): What has been a long time coming?
Answers to any or all of the above might be interesting. Thanks!
In on roll bread…
The insinuation I get from the video is that it’s the church’s fault for not taking over the government and forcing people to do right. The church was never supposed to rule over people.
It’s the people’s fault, not the Catholic church. Nor the Protestants, nor the Jewish, nor any other. This country was founded on freedom from religion, and it should stay that way.

Correction. It’s freedom of religion.

Until people realize that religion and loving God are opposites, we’re doomed to hear such prattling as in the vid.

Well, I guess technically “religious freedom” is a better wording. You have the right to practice whatever religion your beliefs lead you to, so yes we do have freedom of religion.
At the same time, though, there is a mandatory distance between church and state, preventing any religion from taking over the government and squashing others’ religions (or lack thereof).
"The civil rights of none shall be abridged on account of religious belief or worship, nor shall any national religion be established, nor shall the full and equal rights of conscience be in any manner, or on any pretence, infringed.‘’
- James Madison (Original wording of the First Amendment; Annals of Congress 434 (June 8, 1789).)

Truth right here…
They are at fault for spreading poverty. Telling third world people to “Be fruitful and multiply (…and to hell with empty stomachs)!” is so sad.

WOOOHOOOOHOOOHOOO!!!
THAT’S What I’m talkin about.!!! You just jumped waaaay ahead of my projected schedule for you Christopher. (different story) This guy rocks!!! Really. My new favorite Catholic (Big C). I could not possibly ever be in communion with her, but I sure would respect your church one million times more if she were populated by C-Men like this. He might even burn me at the stake, bless his heart. I’m bein dead serious Chris. You need more guys like this. LOL!!!
Man I wish I could meet him in person. It would be my great pleasure to be told wadda hell bound reprehensible heretic I am by a Catholic with some balls. His assessment of this nation is the best I’ve heard yet. Better than my own Pastor’s.(well, more direct) Do not ever get off of this path of purity Christopher. Oh how I beg of thee blessed Lord Jesus, let my beloved Brother Chris pursue righteousness and the power of pure truth all the days of his life.
Right here is where Sloth put me on ignore btw Chris. It’s also why you must deny American exceptionalism to avoid the same trap he avoided by putting me on ignore. A trap he clumsily set for himself without any help from me whatsoever in most uncharacteristic fashion for him. If studying men like Micheal Voris is what you’ve been doing with yourself? I approve.
Not that you’re obligated to care whether I do or not, but you do. If you have read one particle of sarcasm anywhere in this post you still do not know me after all this time. Stop scratchin yer head and go ahead and ask your questions. Feel free to do so in the facebook private chat if you wish. Ya almost choked me up with this one Christopher. I KNOW He is workin His life in you.
EDIT: I have sent this video to Pastor Brooks phone Chris.

Interesting quote from one of the Framers:
“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religion but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We shall not fight alone. God presides over the destinies of nations.”
- Patrick Henry

With gracious, loving, humble posts like this, one has to wonder why in the world Sloth would put you on ignore.

Interesting quote from one of the Framers:
^^^ Yep. I was first enlightened when I read ‘The Grand Inquisitor’ in Dostoevsky’s Brothers Karamazov.
JayPierce wrote:<<< With gracious, loving, humble posts like this, one has to wonder why in the world Sloth would put you on ignore.
This is post is very gracious. And humble. I am crediting a big C Catholic with one of the best 15 minutes I’ve spent this year. In all sincerity. Made me WANT to be Catholic even more than I usually do.
I’m not gonna get into Sloth in this thread.

Tirib got himself ignored trolling a religious liberty/HHS mandate thread. He attempted to break out his usual late night preacher on some off the beaten path channel act. Now, that wasn’t the first thread he’d trolled in his crusade, as others will testify. But when I’m talking the religious liberty of my Church, you don’t come in trying to change the subject as if you’re out to “save” Catholics.

If this little story above is what Tirib told himself happened, then I see he’s still as arrogant and deranged as ever.
This guy is a fucking idiot. Listening to 15 minutes of this made me want to punch him square in the balls.
Liar. AND coward. You built a gallows, hung the rope, put your head in the noose and ignored me when you realized it and saw me coming to push you off. Chris has wisely kept his head out of that same noose by simply denigrating American exceptionalism. You are my single greatest heartbreak since 2006 when I came here. I had extensive conversations with my wife about the brilliance of your posts and held you up as a role model for Brother Chris. It took me 2 days to fight my way out of the heartache when we had out first real blowout a couple years back. Take me off ignore and talk to me like a man or shutup. I rarely even mention you except in times like this thread when it is exceedingly useful to do so.
