Well, he certainly is no Tobey Maguire.
I thought Craig was a very big improvement from other 'super’heroes that have been in movies lately. A good actor and definetly someone that a lot of people will look up to in physique terms.
The opening scene was worth the amount I paid for the entire movie. The black guy was unreal.

Rent “Road to Perdition” to get a good guage on his acting chops. He stood tall with Tom Hanks and Paul Newman in that film, so it’s cool to see him as the new Bond.

Doesn’t look like he lifts weights at all. Maybe push-ups…
whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!! oh yeah, cmon man get your head out of your ass
I’m a sucker for Bond movies, but the last two have been quite mediocre. This one is a definete step up. Daniel Craig is EXCELLENT as Bond. Great actor who looks the part. James Bond is not supposed to be a comic book superhero, he is a field spook. It’s just not an Arnold type role, and anyone saying that Craig wasn’t big enough or ripped enough doesn’t understand the franchise and what they try to convey.
And Goldeneye is the best Bond movie ever. Goddamn, I love that movie.

I hope you’re kidding…?
GH bulge? What I did see were some big traps. Maybe he’s been following the Superheroe workouts that some dude put out on T-Nation…
Brilliant film, by the way. Could be my favourite yet, and I have also seen them all.
However, I found it a bit offputting that although this is a prequel, it’s set in the present, when a prequel should’ve taken place in the 70s or so. In any case, Craig was fantastic, and I can’t wait to see the next one. I hope they stick to this formula and don’t try to go over the top with it.
Did anybody else notice how may opportunities for Bond wisecracks were lost in favour of a shot of Bond’s emotional face? That won me over.
I was never a fan of the Bond franchise, especially the Pierce Brosnan over-the-top era. But this movie has changed all that.
I loved everything about the movie. The realistic stunts, the “darker” image Daniel portrayed so well and the way the movie was shot. Very well done.
I loved Batman Begins and I’m glad Bond went in a similar direction.
I’m going to stick my neck out and say that this is the best Bond movie yet. Also, Sean Connery’s #1 status is clearly under threat.

I’d agree with that statement.
It was refreshingly un-cheesy.

ANd the best game
I thought Daniel Craig was awesome as bond and thought his physique suited the character could you really see Kevin Levrone being a spy? He’d be real inconcpicuous!!! Daniel Craig said himself that he wanted Bond to look like he could do those stunts that he does, which is more than you can so for most of the other bonds.
He had the body of an athlete which suits the character. Because this site is bodybuilding orientated we expect every actor to bulk up to 220 pounds when 1. that isn’t realistic for most actors adn 2. it isn’t appropriate for the character. well maybe spiderman should be bigger!!! At least in Bonds case we’ve got a damn good actor who has worked to look the part and not a freak.
Rant over!!!

Agreed. Daniel Craig is also bigger than 85% of the guys on here or from what I have seen so I don’t understand any insults thrown that way either, also what other Bond was built like Craig?
I remember Daniel Craig getting a lot of shit from “die-hard Bond fans” and everyone else for being “too short” or “too blonde” and the list continues. There was even a site dedicated to insulting him and trying to dethrone him from being Bond even as far as to boycott the movie.
I am sure they are all eating their words now! Daniel Craig was absoultely STELLAR! Fantastic movie, my favorite Bond movie in recent memory (Goldeneye). Daniel Craig brought a lot to the table and superceded most peoples expectations.
I heard he signed a 3 movie deal, good news for everyone.
OK, just got back from seeing this one and color me impressed. I’m a fairly die-hard believer in Sean Connery as the one and only Bond… but I dunno now. Daniel Craig was an excellent 007 and had flashes of that Connery hard boiled edge with sharp humor. I also liked the character development in it as well.
A truly random question I am hoping someone can answer:
What the heck kind of Ford did Bond drive when he first got to the Bahamas? I’ve never seen anything quite like that. Don’t get me wrong… the Aston Martin(s) in the movie were stunning, but I’m curious about the Ford.

Even though that seemed like blatent product placement, I liked that they had him renting a normal car when he was on his own dime.
I thought the movie was really quite great.
Craig did an awesome job.
One of my least favorite parts, however, is the random exposition during the poker game about the various rules and what Craig was planning on doing. It seemed really forced and I basically laughed out loud in the theater during those parts.
As far as his physique goes, I think it’s quite good. His traps looked thick as hell. You rarely see 'em come that big on guys his size. He seems to have a wide waist, or at least the appearance of one. I’m not sure why this is; part of it could be that his lats don’t seem really developed giving him a lack of width. Just speculation though.

I think it was a Ford Focus.

Ahh. Just found it - Ford Mondeo (not available in the U.S.). And I do think it was some blatant product placement, but the funny thing is that all of the Bond cars fall under the Ford umbrella (since they also own Aston Martin). All of which makes me wonder why Ford cannot release a car that looks this good in the U.S. (but I will leave that for another day).

Maybe it was just us?
I also noticed something was weird about his stomach.
Had a chance to see it yesterday. Fantastic movie. Very enjoyable. I highly recommend it.
Good film, a tad too long though.
It’s very different from the other bond movies in that he’s more human and not all cocky one liners (although there are plenty of good ones). The “Do i look like i care?” line cracked me up.
He does kind of have a thick waist but i think he has a good physique and looks manly.
