Yes I’ve heard of the Morgan three wheeler. Didn’t knowit was Huyabusa engines. But they’re almost a motorcycle. I like the light sports cars with four wheels not including the steering wheel.
It’s pretty cool though. I’d love to drive one for a while and see what it’s like. Don’t like the idea of one back wheel though
Test drove a new demo E63 AMG today and scared the shit out of the dealer. I wouldn’t buy one new because of the luxury car tax here but it’s one I’m considering as an everyday. Love the sound of an AMG V8. It roars.

I was driving in bumper to bumper traffic the other week with one of those inching along next to me. That exhaust just idling sounds soooo fucking nice.
I love driving my S4. But, god damn, I had to swap in a new battery last night, and even that simple job was a total pain in the ass. My knuckles and hands are bruised and bloodied. I suspect there are “special german tools” even for that job or I was supposed to pull out other parts to get to the bolt holding in the bracket. Or maybe I’m just stupid or don’t think like a German.
Test drove a new Audi S5 today. Wow! I must say I’m really impressed. It took a little getting used to the steering. It’s really loose at low speed but fortunately it gets tighter as you go faster. The suspension system and the way the Quattro system delivers torque or brake on each wheel independently is awesome. Not quite as fast at some things compared to a rear wheel drive but it’s a really nice ride. The whole system works well.

Nice! I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the wind is even with the top down (windows up) at highway speeds in a convertible.
I remember you posting about that car when you got it a while back. I can’t remember, though… A4 or S4?
S4.
I’ll add If they make one for it, get the back-seat wind screen. With the windows up It forms a wind bubble that keeps the cabin warm and keeps the noise down. I had the top down going from Reno through Lassen forest when it was in the low teens with the sun just cracking the hill one morning during winter and traveling at speeds I won’t post or admit to and it was perfectly warm in the cabin. Really, really cool.
I’m loving the S5 and the Quattro AWD. Is your S4 the 4,2 liter V8? The supercharged 3.0 liter? I’m leaning towards an Audi after testdriving everything. Never thought I’d buy an AWD. But it’s just such a smooth, comfortable ride. The German engineering is great too. Even the windscreen wipers are infinitely better than any I’ve ever seen on a Japanese or American car. Haven’t seen a Lexus or Acura or Infiniti though. They’re probably a bit better.

Mine is an '05, so V-8. But that 3.0l supercharged engine is fantastic and you can tune the crap out of it if you want to. And I love, love, love, love Quatro.

Me too, I’m sold. Some of the rear wheel drive cars I’ve test driven recently are faster but the S5 is plenty fast and a nicer ride. I’m going to get an S5 as my daily driver. I’m looking for one with less than 40000kms - maybe 2013.

That will make a fantastic Daily. Great choice!

Love those V8 Audis, and Quattro is by far the best all wheel drive system out there. Just be sure you use quality fluids, and keep that timing chain happy. You dont want to replace it, or deal with having to open the motor.

There was an issue with long service intervals and the timing chain tensioners that caused early tensioner failure in V-8 S4s, and replacing the $200 part was a $12k problem at the stealership. I have heard some shops are down to around $4k now to pull the motor and replace the part and timing chain.
Bought an S4 today. A few things I’ve noticed: the Quattro gets a bit whobbly at around 165kmph+. And pedestrians keep jumping out the way in terror because I drive in manual properly and when I downshift to first to slow down at pedestrian crossings the engine roars. People think I’m revving the engine at them when I’m just downshifting and using engine braking to slow down. Anyway, it’s a great car. It’s going to be my daily driver. Now I’m going to sell my Commodore and buy a light weight sports car for the weekends.
You are going to love that ride. Great choice.

Indeed I do. I can’t believe I got an AWD. But the Quattro is an incredible ride. I love the transmission too. It’s a really nice gear box.
I’m just out for a drive now. I love that fart noise it makes when you shift up to second at high revs. On Top Gear they said something about the Audi engineers designing the engine so that it drops a drip of petrol in the exhaust when you shift to make it sound nice.
that’s awesome, congrats!
What year, what color?
