I see this truck at my gym time to time, it’s maybe 2cm tops off the ground. Such a badass looking whip, I have no clue who owns it.

Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth.
500 copies homologated for touring car racing in the UK. Instead of getting this beautiful car in the States, we got…
…the Merkur XR4Ti.
I thought it was pretty cool seeing one as a kid, but liked it’s bigger brother, the Scorpio better.

Looking at pictures now, I have no idea why. It looks like a warmed over Taurus. I think the rear seats reclined a bit.
Ratter, that truck is terrific. I’d love something like that.

Owner of the shops ride.
Do you work in the shop?
Yeah
What would your shop charge for the work that’s been done on your bosses car?
Let’s say fill, prime, block, spray, etc?
Shit every thing that us being done to that car paint and body wise?
We are a high volume shop, we do rental car work, 5 cars a day picked up on average. So we only do this type of work for him, only because we have had some slow spots here and there. I say all of this because it would be over charged to have something like this done there. $ 10000- $15000
The car is getting extra prep work. It got spray guide coated. Blocked down. Powder guide coated. Blocked down twice. Paint on it isn’t really going to be superb. But, it will get cut and buffed to perfection. Our painter is used doing quick work because of all the rental cars, and isn’t top level on laying it down for show.
It isn’t my career path, it’s what I’m doing until I can find another job in my field
I’m looking for a color change for my Mustang and that’s exactly what I’ve been hearing. Most of the shops make all their money on insurance/collision work and don’t want to tie up their paint bays with a classic car so they bid high or they just tell me flat out they don’t want the work.
The restoration shops are high. Like, way high. One guy quoted me $30,000.
