It was their last night last night and we decided to go to a restaurant that i’ve been wanting to go to for a while now. The place is called carnivore… And believe me it lives up to it’s name!

The place is African themed, think Kenya decor etc…

I LUUUUUUUUUV Fogo de Chao! It’s pricy though. For those of you in DC or NOVA, there’s a Churrasqueria in Falls Church called Victor’s Grill that serves a HUUUUUUUUGE plate of meat for ~$42 (including side dishes and salad) They have blood sausage, regular sausage, ribs and several different cuts of beef all piled high on a skillet… Fucking delicious!

There are two here:

Espetus in SF
Pampas in Palo Alto

I’ve only been to Pampas (twice). The first time was awesome and they brought out the meats QUICKLY. The second time the service was much slower but the meat was just as good. Must’ve been an off night.

My friend’s wife said Espetus has better meat, so that’s next on my list.

$42 sounds about right. I think it’s an extra $12 for unlimited “side bar” rodizio (sp) which actually has some good stuff, but I try not to get full such extras.

Of course, if I’m looking for MEAT and up in SF, House of Prime Rib is where it’s at. Was even featured on No Reservations. Gluttony!

I know I’d regret it later, but yeah, I’d like to try that!

It’s funny how much meat I can eat. I’d like to try one of those 72oz steak challenges they have at some places in the US.
Though I know I’d probably not be the kind of guy to finish it. Maybe 50oz then done.
I haven’t done the 72oz yet. However, I went to Don Shula’s and ordered the 48oz. Finished it. Ordered another. Finished it. They fear me.

As soon as I get to Texas, I will destroy that steak.
i fear you too, i shit you not… almost 3 kilos of meat in a single meal?? damn, you must be big…
