Churrascarias. I’ve eaten at them here in So Cal and even while on vacation in Ensenada, Mexico. They’re everywhere. Probably even in that frozen wasteland we call Canada. (:stuck_out_tongue: again I kid)

Damn u america! Has anyone ever felt as shit as me the day after?

There’s one of these here in Toronto, $42/head for dinner on weekdays, $50/head on friday and weekends. Gonna try it soon.

damn man 50 bucks? ehhh I could eat 50 dollars worth of meat

epic set up

^^ Isn’t that the going rate? What do you pay in SoCal?

Sounds similar to a churascarria. I love those places.

went to Churrascaria Plataforma in NY couple years ago. all kinds of meats + buffet with salad/cheese/seafood/etc - $55 or so/person.

Paid around 36 dollars, for 3 courses here.

Nice.

Did you ever see the Mind of Mencia episode where Ron Jeremy and Mencia are taking a whiz at adjacent urinals? “Nice shaft!” “I like yours too.” “Can I hold it?” “Sure.”

When I go to the churrascaria I find that my sleep is really poor the night after because no matter what I do, I’m still overheating for the next 12+ hours. There’s a metabolic boost if I’ve ever known one.

THere’s a similar resturant in Massachusetts called “Midwest Grille” all Brazilian BBQ, they come out with the meat on swords and say “would you like some chicken wrapped in bacon” and I reply “why yes I would my good sir” then they come out with steak with garlic and ask if I would like that and it goes on and on. A meat lovers paradise and relatively inexpensive[/quote]
If you’re in MA you may want to check out the Nordic Lodge in RI:

It’s a bit pricey, but the food is unreal! They also have a 2hr time limit on the grazing.

You paid 36$ and you are in egypt!? I am guessing you converted the price to US dollar. What is the minimum wage in egypt, 1$ per hour?

It’s 30$ where I live and I think it’s overpriced.

The 72oz place is here in Amarillo Texas called “Big Texan”. If you eat the 72oz steak, bread, potato with all the fixin’s, and side salad all in under an hour, you get it for free.

The story behind this was the restaurant originally was located by the cattle stock yards, where they sell cattle. One day, there was a man that walked in and ate all of the above in less than an hour, like 9 8oz steaks. The owners, two brothers if I’m not mistaken, were so impressed with how much he ate in such little time, they said “if anybody comes in to our restaurant and eats all of that again, they will eat for free!” And that’s how the legend was born.

I’ve lived here all of my life and never had any interest to go. But my wife isn’t from here and wants to go check it out, so we’ll go and I’ll have an opinion then. When I worked at a bank a while back, there was a contest to see if a 4 people team could devour it all in 15 minutes. 2 of our team didn’t show up, so we just enjoyed the free food, but that time the steak was cold and tasted like a dry brisket. I hear that’s not how they taste at the restaurant tho.
