Cardio Issues Raised in the Media

i’ve seen on tv that people who take Testosterone for low have suffered heart
attacks and other issues. can anyone give some insight? thanks

If you read through this, or other sites, you’ll find a great # of men on TRT
administered by doctors that are clueless.

Men are given gels. creams or injections without causes of Low T being investigated,
nor are complete baseline labs established.

Proper follow up, testing and needed ancillary drugs are rarely done or prescribed.
Lots of guys show up here looking for answers because their doctor has been dismissive,
or clueless…and there in leads to worse health problems.

If you are on TRT be sure to read all the stickies, be your own educated advocate.
Learn and know what everything means WRT
your blood work panels. Insist on getting copies of your blood work and for
GOD SAKE…if your Doctor refuses proper testing, get a new one.

Proper TRT is a GODSEND. In proper TRT will trash you.

High levels of test for long periods makes your blood too thick and too many red blood cells. At least for me. I think that is the main risk.

Your followup labs should include CBC and hematocrit that would identify blood problems. If that is not done, its not a TRT problem but a doctor problem.

Those scare tactics by lawyers mostly stopped suddenly when a Veterans Affairs researcher looked at medical outcomes of guys on TRT VS those not on TRT. TRT lowered heart attacks and strokes by 30% and improved survival rates when those events did occur. Not that most of the TRT guys in that study probably had TRT that was done wrong or under dosed. With TRT done properly, the stats would be even better.
