Can't Balance My E2 on TRT

Hey guys,

Just to give you a little background, I took a lot of prohormones/ test supplements when I was age 16-24. Best guess is that I burned out my pituitary signal or something. I am now 28 and I was placed on TRT after having lab values of SHBG of 5 and 5.2 on two separate tests. I started TRT about 8 months ago. Typical dosing was at 200 for a while and E2 was at 70. Doc placed me on 0.5 anastrozole EOD. After 6 weeks labs came back and E2 was at 80. They were trying to keep my SHBG at 20 and it had dropped to 17 from 29 after those weeks of dosing so they raised me to 220mg test for 6 weeks and upped my anastrozole to 0.5mg for the first 5 days after injection. I typically inject every 7 days.

Got my labs back today and my E2 jumped to 246!! holy smokes. A little worried and have some issues maintaining an erection and being moody. Other than that my gains have still been good and no other abnormalities noted. So my doc dropped my dose to 190mg test every week and is keeping the 0.5mg anastrozole for the first 5 days after injection. I typically donate blood every 8 weeks because it does go over over 50. Today i was at 49.4

I guess my question is,
is my E2 dangerous for these short periods while trying to level me out? Should i go back natural? Will i ever f’n get leveled out. I feel like I’m playing with serious hormones and don’t want any repercussions.
Anyone had any experience with this high of E2 and did it ever get back into normal range (20-40)???.

Where do i go from here?

Other supplements Doc has me on due to lab deficiency :

Vitamin D
7 keto DHEA
Progesterone Cream
Vitamin B

Thanks in advance…
Rudy

Serum E2 is a balance of E2 production and E2 clearance in the liver.

Need liver lab data: AST, ALT, CK

E2 is from FT–>E2 and the more FT, the more E2
More T means more E2
Anastrozole needs to match serum T levels, more T needs more anastrozole.

Liver clearance can have interference from some drugs. List all meds, Rx and OTC. Read the things that damage your hormones sticky.

Are you testing progesterone levels!?

We have never seen SHBG as a therapeutic target like this before.

Need labs in list format with lab ranges.
Do you have pre-TRT LH/FSH?

Inject T twice a week, subq better than IM
Take anastrozole at time of injections, 1mg anastrozole per 100mg T
250iu hCG subq EOD to prevent loss of fertility

Are you taking a SERM [clomid or nolvadex]?

Evaluate your overall thyroid function by checking oral body temperatures as per the thyroid basics sticky. Thyroid hormone fT3 is what gets the job done and it regulates mitochondrial activity, the source of ATP which is the universal currency of cellular energy. This is part of the body’s temperature control loop. This can get messed up if you are iodine deficient. In many countries, you need to be using iodized salt. Other countries add iodine to dairy or bread.

I can be a bit abrupt in my replies and recommendations. I have a lot of ground to cover as this forum has become much more active in the last two years. I can’t follow threads that go deep over time. You need to respond to all of my points and requests as soon as possible before you fall off of my radar. The worse problems are guys who ignore issues re thyroid, body temperatures, history of iodized salt. Please do not piss people off saying that lab results are normal, we need lab number and ranges.

The value that you get out of this process and forum depends on your effort and performance. The bulk of your learning is reading/studying the suggested stickies.

I’ll have to get you my labs when I get home. I’m on shift for a couple more Days.
