Can Watching Porn for Years F*ck Up Your Erections?

I think there is a difference in how bad porn is for a person, depending on why he is watching it.
I think porn is really a problem for those who live out their fantasies in porn. So lets say, you are average or below average dude with a girl thats like a 4/10 and is kind of boring in the bed. Now if you are looking at insta-babes all day and then see some 9s getting assfucked for years, there will definetly be a problem for you to get a good erection on your reality.
Now, in my case, i have always been able to get girls with similar sexual desires so there is nothing in porn i can see that i dont do in my normal day anyways. And since i am blessed with good enough looks to get girls that are in no way less hot than anything you can see online, when i see porn, i dont see something extra hot doing something i wish i was doing. I just kind of see a reminder of ā€œoh this is cool, i wanna do this later alsoā€.
So for me i never really noticed that watching porn or quiting porn changes anything for me sexually.
Now what does change is the fact that i do feel like shit after watching because i punish myself by thinking : ā€œthis hot girl you dont even deserve is doing all the same stuff with you, but you still look at some random whores who take money for itā€. Now thats a different topic i guess. That is a thing i really wanna change because i despise women who take money for sex, but then when i get horny i still get hard on them, and that is disgusting for me.

But the response is innate, driven through primal hardwiring

Your brain doesn’t look at that girl and think ā€œshe’s been paid to do that!ā€

Your brain thinks ā€œnaked girl! Let’s get some blood flowing dammit!ā€

Hence you can be as disgusted (or as happy) or whatever in between you want to be… it likely won’t change the final outcome.

Most guys aren’t 6’6 self defence instructors either… most guys aren’t getting the girls they see in porn. Hence if one has started watching porn years prior to when they’ve become sexually active pornography can impart unrealistic expectations.

I’m not a fan of hardcore pornography. Used to be fine with it, until I noticed how fucked up ā€œmainstreamā€ content was involving incest and whatnot. Coupled with the fact I couldn’t be sure I was watching consensual activity (look up the girlsdoporn case for reference) and it’s put me off… I think it’s a vice, and like any vice it has the potential to be abused.

You don’t have an issue with it… others do… treat it according to your own relationship with it. Like alcohol, some people need to avoid it like the plague yet others are totally fine with it.
