This is like asking if eating junk food will make it more difficult to get hungry in the future.
If it is truly an addiction, it will ruin your relationship. If it is something youâre not okay with and he canât/wonât stop doing it, itâs gonna go badly. Same as drinking, drugs, gambling, etc.
If he refuses to stop, or says heâll stop and then continues it while lying to you, then you should
If he is open to stopping, or at least open to talking about stopping, you should look into counseling. Either seperately, together, or both.
My opinion, and I know this isnât shared by everybody, is that porn is unnecessary. Itâs not needed to be a healthy, functioning human being with a healthy, functioning reproductive system and sex drive.
Both men and women are allowed to not be okay with their partner watching porn, and it shouldnât be something that you continue to let go on if your beliefs/opinions/wants donât line up with it. Again, same as any other addiction.
Talk it out. Be very clear with yourself and with him about why you donât like it. He should at least be willing to hear you out - thatâs called being an adult in an adult relationship. (You are adults, right?) Anything beyond that depends on your guysâ communication and resolutions.
Honest, frank communication is a good place to start, but donât be accusatory.
How do you define addiction? 3x a day. Once a week??
After you taking care of each others needs?
What was the book?
I also want it out if my life!
Allen Carr - The Easy Way to Control Alcohol
I finished the book in September 2019 and havenât once thought of consuming alcohol since that day.
Have you noticed a change in body composition since ceasing all alcohol consumption?
Extreme for me. Weight loss was always hard to come by but dropping the inflammatory ethanol from my diet has made it possible and not overly difficult either. I have dropped around 25lbs of fat in the last 12 months with relative ease. Went from 227-202 while maintaining 6 days a week of 2400 cals and 1 diet break day a week on my training rest day.
Iâd personally never heard of dudes attributing the watching of porn to various sexual deficiencies until I found this website. Been here for only 3 months and itâs a pretty common statement. While it may be a possibility, the fact this site deals primarily with drugs that have a laundry list of sexual side effects, cannot be a coincidence. Itâs not exactly a representative sample of the general population.
Porn causes men to only become aroused by bizarre stuff they see on porn. Then, when they get the real thing, the arousal system isnât triggered as it should be. Porn desensitizes that system IMO.
Im fairly certain porn addiction has always been associated with decreased interpersonal sexual satisfaction and therefore prone to sexual deficiencies.
Pornography Habit Is Linked to Erectile Dysfunction , Research Suggests. Survey says more then 50 percent with erectile dysfunction problems during partnered sex donât have a problem when watching porn . According to the survey, 45 percent of young men with a porn addiction have erectile dysfunction .Jul 22, 2020
If we are talking an actual clinical porn addiction, I fully agree with you guys. But for your standard dude who hits up pornhub to rub one out, canât see it being more of a cause of ED than the chemicals we put in our bodies. How many guys on here with sexual sides can actually be diagnosed with a porn addiction?
Unsure. Jerking to porn every single day for 15 years? Maybe.
Watching porn and porn addiction do the same thing. Desensitize you.
Porn is bad. SadlyâŠ
Some guys get to the point of doing this in preference to actually having sex and/or watch for hours every day.
Just because youâre fat doesnât mean youâre hormones arenât fuck ed up.
Try finding the energy to exercise regularly and cut calories with sub 200 test levels, all while maintaining a job, a family, etc.
Many people are pulled out of depression with TRT and finally have the motivation to succeed with gym and diet.
Bullshit
Ah, an ad hominem attack. The last recourse for the simple minded.
Additionally, nothing found on a female body will provide the kind of friction an adult male hand can provide for itself, so thereâs physical desensitization, too.
Porn-savvy teens and young adults have begun struggling with EDâs as a result of the two issues (physical and visual/content desensitization).
