I read that accutane lowers your dht levels but can this cause any gyno problems? My E2 and test levels were in the normal range, LH was 9.1 when the range was 2.1-7.1 or something like that.
Just trying to figure out why I suddenly got some minor gyno, and why I NEVER felt any itchiness or any other symptoms… I might be overreacting and that might go away but just wanted to ask your opinion if there can be any connection with the accutane.

yes yes yes… dht acts as an counterbalance to estro…it binds to estro which prevent it from becoming active… you should be on some kind of estro control if its effecting you with gyno.
Ok thanks for the info, couldn’t find anything about it anywhere… Gyno has become a bit smaller than it was and my chest doesn’t look puffy and its not visible to eye anymore. I will have to discuss my doctor if he’s willing to prescribe me some anti-e. Seeing my endo within a week. Most likely I will have surgery done in a year or something, like a year before my bodybuilding contest.
It’s just so damn hard to get my hands on adex or any AI in here…
I’ve read that accutane has similar actions with proscar (5-ar). There’s actually a study about isotretinoin affecting androgen receptors and lowering DHT. I’ll find and post that tomorrow.

Thanks, JoeyD20, so how long was his last cycle? What did it consist of? Can you tell me where it says his E2 or test levels? How about you bold quote it for me? What was his PCT? Kudos to you for a wonderful post, my friend.
My last cycle was 12weeks 400mg deca, 500mg sust / week, with no gyno symptoms on cycle, and pct was clomid 100/50/50/50. And like I said my test and E2 were in the normal range. Gyno seemed to grow after I started the accutane. These hormone levels were taken a week ago (LH was 9.1 week ago, not on cycle).
It’s not that visible though…
