I was prescribed Testosterone Cypionate 200mg/10ml to be taken in dosage twice a week for T Replacement. 1st inject 0.30ml and later in the week inject 0.35ml.
This was for T replacement and the first time I’ve tried anything like it. After a couple of weeks I did not get good results, I did not feel any different, no extra energy, no drive. So the doctor is going to switch to a topical cream.
This means I have half of that 200ml bottle left over and going to waste. I’m thinking about increasing the dosage for experimentation purposes to see if I can feel a difference. I really want to see an energy increase.
Any recommendations? If this is a stupid Idea, please be honest.
You need to be realistic. I don’t think you or your doctor understands how hormones work. A couple of weeks isn’t enough time to see significant changes since your levels aren’t even steady yet. It’s going to take more than 1 year to realize the maximum benefits.
Testosterone isn’t a drug where effects are immediate, hormones take time to affect tissue and is determined by AR gene CAG repeats. It’s going to take 4-6 weeks (cypionate) to build up in your system after each dosing change and may take longer to start seeing the benefits.
It is. You need to stay with it. It’s a low dose, but you still need to give it some time. If you are not noticing any benefit after six weeks, the next step would be to increase the dose. You are a long way from giving up on injections and turning to cream.
To give you an idea as to my experience on Jatenzo (oral TRT), the first week was amazing, followed by 3 weeks of feeling unwell, then I started feeling good after 4 weeks. Also note the half-life of Jatenzo is way shorter, 7 days to a steady state and it still took weeks to feel good on a consistent basis.
The body needs time to acclimate to the new hormone levels.
Giving up on injections after two weeks lol. Get to weeks 8-12 and see the real benefits.
But anyway, cream is going to take some time to dial in anyway, so I’d figure that out first, then if you want (waaaaay down the road) add in your injections for your little blast
