An 18 year old is a 1st year university student.
Girls generally have been having sex for a couple of years with boys their own age by 18. At that point, girls are well entrenched into hookup culture and thus your presumption of innocence is a false one.

Like I said, just because something isn’t subject to prosecution doesn’t mean it isn’t socially unacceptable. It’s not illegal to shout obscenities at old ladies or walk with you dirty underwear on your head, but it is not exactly socially acceptable either. Much of our day to day behaviour is governed by social convention as opposed to by law. Why is this such a stretch?
These threads are about people’s opinions, all the more so when they begin by someone asking for opinions. People form opinions/make judgments of other people’s actions based on common social conventions and personal value systems that aren’t necessarily enforceable by law. They may then proceed to express those opinions in a forum where the issue is being discussed. It’s all “a personal issue”. If the OP disregards the opinions of others (which he almost certainly will if they don’t support his own desires), that’s his completely prerogative.
