Ooo. Proof it doesn’t go thru two sets of drywall. And mentions it doesn’t penetrate flesh enough for insta-kill.

Alright, I take back the birdshot.

And you’re right, that site is ten different kinds of awesome.

First thing you need to do is fix this! Educate yourself on gun safety, how to hold it, how to shoot it, when to shoot, when to walk away, how to care for and store weapons. Take classes, find someone who is VERY familuar with weapons and learn from them. Don’t be a jackass and just go buy some hand cannon and expect to be safe. Carring a weapon is a chore, it’s uncomfortable and can be down right dangerous if you don’t have your head on straight. Most of all what ever you choose shoot the damn thing a lot, be familiar with your weapon, now how it works and how it shoots. Be safe.
Oh trust me I’m doing just that because I’m in the process of getting my CC permit. I’m looking for suggestions on a pistol that would be comfortable enough to take on extended rides. Luckly there’s a shooting range 15 minuets from me so I can go there if I need to actually talk to someone.

I’m not some douche who’s looking to get two Desert Eagles and go John Woo on anyone who curls in the squat rack.

what do you mean by extended rides??? also, you should check out your States firearms laws as well in terms of riding around on a motorcycle with a gun?? im not sure how that works to be honest…and as for the type of handgun, your not giving us much to work with in terms of suggestions?? what are you looking for?? just a gun to do some shooting at a range? or something for home defense?? do you have a price range?? i think like DDay said, you have to educate yourself on firearms first to figure out what exactly your looking for out of a firearm and what your needs are…

Good deal. The more education and practice you have the better for everyone. As far a selection it depends on your budget, not only for the weapon but for the ammo. For instance 9mm runs $16-20 for a box of 50 FMJ and a box of .45 is $25-40 and you can burn ammo up with a quickness. Physically how big are you? That can make a difference for a carry weapon size.

Personally I don’t have the funds for high priced guns but I’m also not going to cheap out on protection so I like Glock. I have a G19 9mm and G30 .45, neither of which I’ve ever had a problem with and for the price ($400-600) they’re pretty tough to beat. IMO don’t buy a no name cheap gun to carry, when your life is on the line you cannot afford a jam or FF.

Something some folks over look is a holster, don’t skimp on this especially if you’re going to ride a bike, you don’t want it falling out on the highway.

G30 .45 is a solid firearm…nice choice

Dude, the first time I saw the mk23 in person, I couldnt believe how big it was (thats what she said). It’s fucking massive!
That’s one thing I love about it. I’m not big on carbines, I’d rather have a handgun than an m4, just out of personal preference, so I’d rather have a primary weapon with some heft to it.

For the most part they’re pretty pointless unless you collect guns or hunt polar bears. Lets not even talk about the cost of ammo. I’ve never shot one but I’m pretty sure it’s be a hella good time. I have shot a .44 magnum 6" barrel and a .357 magnum 3" barrel, the .357 was pretty intimidating, kicked like nothing I’ve ever shot. I imagine the 50 cal would be awesome.
Most of my buddies have shot it. They said the kick really isn’t as bad as advertised.
I can’t imagine it being too much more than a .45. I think people get excited that its a .50 cal handgun but don’t realize that the charge isn’t THAT big. The charge is just as big as it needs to be for the slug, not like magnum rounds where the charge is twice as big as necessary to move the bullet. Since its an action express round. I’m pretty sure the .44 mag is still more powerful. Now, the S&W 500 Mag on the other hand…

My best friend back home wants to get a Desert Eagle in .50 when he turns 21. He’s shot a pistol on less than 3 seperate occasions. He says he just wants it to have it. I can see him hating it after he fires it a couple times.
That would be hilarious. Then you could make fun of him for buying a $1200 gun that he doesn’t even like. People who buy guns based on how cool they are in video games crack me up.
