how’d you know itw as rum?

ok check it yo…

it’s tnot that cglamorous. Basically a couple months back I got this call from some dude trheatening me and shit. Talking about kicking my ass, whatever. From a blocked number. I had gotten several calls like this in like april. Filed a police report…the police didn’t do anything. I dunno why. Then there was a lull in like early july then this shit started up in late july again. Called the police and the detetctive that had my case. Left a message. He never called back.

I keep getting calls about once a week of someone from a blocked number calling me. I started ignoring the calls. But just in case it’s someone nearby I want a gun in case they decide to step shit up. I’d rather have a gun and not need it rather than need it and not have it. See, nothing glamorous.
You don’t know who the guy is or why he is calling you?

Once upon a time I had a phone number that got a lot of collect calls from some guy in prison. Of course I never accepted charges to find out what he wanted or who he was looking for, but I guess he knew somebody who used to have that number. He called a lot when I first got the number, then slowed and finally stopped after a few weeks.

had this number for years. The dude has my name so he knows me. I may file a fresh complaint, if not just to find out hte dude’s name. I’m not scared, but I’d like to know who this is, in case it’s someone I used to know in Springfield, just in case there’s certain streets I should be more careful on. Hence the gun.

But can you think of anything you’ve ever done to anybody to deserve this? Maybe deserve isn’t the word.

My truck got keyed at work. I was pissed, but could see it coming. I work with scum (my customers, not my co-workers) and have to be a total dick to these people.

But in highschool my car got keyed and I didn’t have a quarrel with anybody. The only reason I could see was somebody didn’t like the fact that I had a nice car.

So who have you pissed off enough to bring this on yourself?

ok, so i went to a bar tonight and my credit card dissapeared for like an hour. I’m gnnna have to call tomorrow, and like monday.

ok,you really need to just not worry about the calls and you need to watch yourself a little better is all.
thats just my opinion.

if I was alone I would not have even pulled my weapon but,
I was in a car wash with my daughter, she was about a year old,I had her in the car seat the car running passenger door open music going she was happy as shit.

I get out I am putting change into the thing to wash the car,she loved to watch the water being sprayed on the windshield.
and some guy runs up behind me slams me into the wall kicks me and then tries to jump into my car.

I am laying on the floor heads split open and first thing I did was I pumped 2 into this guy.
I got up,dragged him out the car and started kicking him.
wasnt untill after when I was talking to the cops and they asked me whos blood was on me,when I found he had not only slammed me into the wall but he stabbed me in the back.

I still got arrested, questioned for months and months about why after shooting him did I kick him and all that standard stuff to see if I knew him or whatever.the anti-gun pro brady people tried to get me on invol. manslaughter saying that just because I had a weapon that I invited the problem and it was my fault I took a life.
whats weird there was dozens of people around.
it was a weekend, summer day the place was busy.
yet no one stepped up to be a witness.

whats worse though is I lose my girlfriend and my daughter over that because they had the same issue if i didnt have a gun then the guy would be alive.

almost 8 years later i am still trying to prove that I am not a bad person and I dont like shooting people.
however if i had to do it all over and had no choice I would not hesitate to take someone out again.

kind of a catch 22 I feel bad but not for doing it I feel bad for having people around me not understand why I had to.

now sorry for the thread jack once again
OP you need to not get a gun you dont need one,you got some childish prank pulled on you
big deal rarly do people follow through.

if you are interested please take classes first and then get one,but not for this reason alone.

Hopefully your daughter will come to realize if u didnt have a gun SHE might be the one that is not alive. ive come to realize that it doesnt matter how righteous your shooting is, there is always someone who will critique it from the comfort of their office trying to find a way to avoid deadly force. from an leo perspective, well done.

to the OP. why dont u just change your number and keep it unlisted. if you keep getting calls on your new number, which usually never happens, if the caller is ever identified the police will have a stronger case to file for the DA. either way ur lookin at a bs misdemeanor.

as for weapons… for really concealed carry i like the kahr pm9(you can wear it with shorts and tshirt and it wont show)…u need to put at least a 1000 rounds thru it tho to break it in

glock 19 as mentioned is a little more hard to conceal but has alot more rounds and great trigger reset imo.

personal favorite is sig sauer p220 for home defense

This is the part people forget…That the criminal “in” justice system is run by people with little sense of justice and no sense of proportion when it comes to self-defense…It is obvious to a blind man that you acted in self-defense, but the political agendas, career making ambitions, and generalized propaganda induced cowardly stupidity still asserts itself, however wrongly and what is worse is that the persons life you saved, your daughter, will be targeted for mind-control by these very same types who persecuted her father for doing the right thing (including her deluded mother)…Dammed wrong and a dammed shame, but it’s the aftermath that is the worst part…

I agree its actually alot eaiser just beating the hell out of someone now adays.
this is another reason why not to get a gun.

I mean are you really ready to have what seems like the entire world looking down their noses at you for carrying a deadly weapon?

Since the government has to have a militia to protect the country against enemies, and since the first act of an out-of-control government is to turn its militia against it’s own citizens, the citizens must have guns to protect themselves from a government and militia gone wild.

For that matter, if the militia goes wild and decides it has the power to oust the government, then the citizens can step in themselves to protect the country from the militia. Nobody talks about that part. (But once again, the militia usually has the bigger guns,)

The self-protection is icing on the cake.

In general, armed rebellion is out of the question unless the government goes wild. You know, little things like rounding up specific ethnic groups for extermination. Little wild things like that.
Some clarification on the term "Militia. What you are referring to is the National Guard, an organization properly termed in relevant documents as a “Select Militia”. The Select militia are in fact part of the government forces, as they do not provide their own arms, but are armed by the government (and also why they can be sent out of the continental U.S. To perform as soldiers). This is not the “Militia” of original intent. No less an authority than the venerable Patrick Henry himself, when asked, clearly stated “Who are the Militia? They consist of the whole people”. It is important to note here that there were Black Americans in Militia companies, some who were famous by their exploits during the Revolutionary war (Did you ever notice the Black soldier in the famous painting of Washington crossing the Delaware? He’s there, but predictably was left out of the movie version of events, as also has been the then famous sharpshooter Prince Whipple, for example). Why is this important to know? Because the racism kicked back in after the war with the “Militia act of 1792”, which re-defined the (non-select) Militia as restricted to “every free, white, able-bodied male”. This was not upgraded until after the Civil War’s constitutional (citizenship) amendments, plus up to and through the civil rights era of the 1960’s. All Able-bodied citizens, providing their own arms & ammunition, for individual and collective self-defense are the Militia, period. No pack of deluded do-gooders (or malicious racists), blinded by their emotionalist fears, compelled to twist the facts to suit their own prejudices, cannot change this ironclad fact. They can only attack and snake charm the the American masses with their mind-control propaganda, into meekly accepting they do not have the rights clearly enumerated through the constitution & bill of rights. We see this going on every day and must stand against it at all costs

Yes…
Better the 12 than the 6…

Im curious as to everyone’s reasoning for owning a firearm?

As a 20 yr old college student I dont feel i have a great need for one. I manage to stay out of trouble other than the occasional stupid bar fight’s usually due to close friends. But ive considered having some sort of weapon on hand for the home. The neighborhood where i live off campus has some crime issues and break ins (buffalo, NY). And back home in Brooklyn there is some unruliness occasionally. As of now All i have is the big kitchen knife i keep near my bed in case something happens but it doesn’t seem to really be a great option when i think of the possibilities.

Can anyone explain the process and likelihood of someone in my position being able to acquire a legal firearm in NY state?

What annoys, however, is when the $hit hits the fan, these same people, especially the anti-gun types, come running to them for protection (think “L.A. Riots” here as an example). That’s bull$hit…Defend yourself, or don’t cry when you end up a victim. Off soapbox now/;-)
I manage to stay out of trouble other than the occasional stupid bar fight’s usually due to close friends. You are not going to be happy with what you are going to find out…You live in one of the most self-defense hostile areas of the USA (along with California, Illinois, Wisconson, etc) that prefer to see you a dead victim rather than a live survivor. Look here for the sad facts, Baby…

There is a difference between Brooklyn and upstate. About the only way you’re going to be able to carry a concealed weapon legally in Brooklyn is to become a cop. Upstate might be a bit easier, but not much.

I can’t comprehend the people who seem to think that the criminal who stabbed you in the back and tried to steal your car with your 1 year old daughter inside, that his life is more precious than yours. I’m sure that one day your daughter will know that you did the right thing,

That’s just the way we like it

I like the new Rugers. Just got a new .45 myself.

45s are a little hard to conceal but the new Rugers are smaller than older SW 9mm.

I applied for my HCL in August and am still waiting althought I do have a certified letter that I need to pick up at the P.O.
