Alright, where can I find protein in bulk? I’ve looked at gnc and other local pharmacies but only found expensive stuff that was around $80 for not even a months supply.

Real lifters don’t go to GNC. Real lifters know GNC rips you off.[/quote]

Bulking isn’t worth ruining your health for.

bulking on a tight budget is something i know a bit about. my shopping cart looks something like

bagels, eggs, ground beef, ground turkey, wheat bread, brocolli, bulk pasta and rice, bulk olive oil, and occasionally milk.

my weekly grocery bill is something like 25$

keep in mind im only about 175lbs though.

Who are you to decide that for someone else?

Maybe all you have forgotten what a tight budget is or maybe McDonalds is cheaper in the US, but what I have found is that a few triple cheeseburgers is a lot of money compared to something homemade.

My tip: Always check and see what the butcher has on special. Farmer’s markets can also be cheap and of better quality than supermarkets.

dude, you could probably gain weight for a while if you only added a gallon of milk a day in addition to what you already eat. don’t over think it. you don’t need to all of a sudden eat like a pro bodybuilder to get big.

How much is a double quarter pounder, or a pounder burger, over at the US McD?

When did brocolli become a bulking food?!

BUMP

this subject is quite close to my heart (£40 a week food budget for the last few weeks) (food is also more expensive in the UK) so i thought I’d give some of the tips I’ve discovered that haven’t been posted here, and hope to learn from all of you:

  1. Food bought on the bone is generally much cheaper per gram, esspecially if bought in whole annimals: Turkeys Chickens or the limbs of cows and lambs.

  2. Roast dinners and leftovers are awesome! Roast those big joints as much as you humanly can, and live off the leftovers as snacks on the days where you have no time!

  3. The leftovers also can be used to make you other meals and provide more variety than mince

  4. The nicer something tastes the easier it is to eat. Roasts taste nice, you wll eat tons!

Pork Shoulder.
So often unloved.
I find it delicious! Good flavor good fat content, so many ways to cook it.

CHEAP AS FUCK

I have probably 5 or 6 grocery stores w/in 10 miles of me. At least one of them will have it for sale each week for $.99-$1.69lb

Or for that matter any pork is undervalued.

Plus everything the guy above me said.

I fail to see a problem here.
YOU LIVE WITH YOUR PARENTS.

So that gives you 3 meals a day I imagine.
Eat those and then buy $5-$6 worth of food each day. The choices are limitless…anything from Cereal to cartons of milk to fast food to bags of peanuts can fit in that amount

lots of meat(any meat) and brown rice.

I tried drinking a gallon of milk one day… I made it half the day and then then spent the second half sitting on the shitter…

I drink a fair bit of milk, but its not great nutrition choice. I think its better to drink it with some whey and oats, and if you can get some fruit/veg thats good too!
