oh no! I am sorry!!! My computer’s been acting up! And I just woke up from an awful migraine sleep. I got sick twice!.. but at least not while i was at the meet…:slight_smile: When i woke up sunday morning I felt like I’d been dragged through a field…full body bruise,and pounding headaches. It could have been the nerves, and I bet it was,finally getting out of my body. But! Better now!

:)!! Thank you everyone for your wonderful support and messages! The meet—THANK GOD ITS OVER. Iâ??m so glad Snapper, PMPM , and Soldog were there. SO much support and just good vibes!!

I water depleted and weighed in at 156ish pound (! Which was a surprise, but WORD!!) and proceeded to be very very shakey nervous until after the squats were done. I think we ALL were nervous for squats. Apparently one of the judges is pretty strict depth dude.

My form is still strange, but I hope to fix it. My attempts were 260, 275, and 292 on squats. The last one was a battle , but I got it! All white lights !

Then the benching I pretty much waited for it to be over with, but surprised myself that I actually did it right, and didnâ??t get any red lights for my attempts. My attempts were 115, 126, and 132.6<-- which I am proud of J

Snapper did incredible too! Such a work horse she is! And so great to have around. I was lined up to see PMPM bench too, Again , Iâ??m so lucky!! J!

Hours go byâ?¦…hours… Then its dead lift time. My attempts were 302 or 5, either 314, or 316, and 336.2. The second lift I didnâ??t wait for the down command, I got it but got 2 reds. The third was a grinder, but I got it! J I was QUITE nervous for dead lifts, and my mind was all over . Iâ??m happy though!

Snapper and PMPM did MARVELOUS deadlifts!! I think we were all pretty happy with our results. I am at least J Soldog was great too. He was a great camera man and great cheerleader for all of usâ?¦So much good vibesJ

OH! And they had young lifters too! I think the youngest was 12,but these girls were great! Such a cool programâ?¦ahhâ?¦see? more butterflies and hearts…Iâ??m all vibing out ha!

I am NOT happy however that I missed the guy who barfed while deadlifitng. I was out at my car I guess…wish I could have SEEN that!! Oh well.

I have no idea when I’m going to start training again this week. I might go today…or not :slight_smile:

thanks MIM! I’m really happy with the results! I’m sitting here now paging thru the free Powerlifitng USA magazines I scored trying to get ideas to figure out a new program to do.

Never thought I’d say this, but I’m excited to bench next! I was really quite pleased with my measly 132! I was fearing that I would get a delay in the press command because i wouldn’t hold the pause, or be able to get it up after but i got it! I wonder how long it’ll be until i get a body wt bench…hmm…another 35 pounds to add :}

tentative new goals: increase my upper body work. lighten up on the squat variations and train some regular squats once a week at least, some triples or something …i dunno… try and have my rep party days still…umm…i’d like to get my triceps some oopmh. i dunno, just fix my squat first i suppose.

Brute, awesome meet! I can hardly believe that YOU are excited about bench, but go get 'em.

It truly was a thrill. I had a good seat for it. Very projectile. And like I said on my log, when I went out to give my coach his liftoffs at the meet yesterday, the first thing I noticed was how much the plaform smelled like vomit.

Brute is just such a rockin’ lifter. SO MUCH raw talent it’s crazy.

Make sure you take it easy training this week. Your CNS is likely fried. Some people start training hard a day or two after a meet, but most don’t. I would not pick up a barbell (just body weight stuff, light dumbells, or machines) for a few days to a week, but if you do pick up a barbell, don’t go over 50%. You might want to just take a few days off. Also, some of us get a little post-meet depression/blues after all the adrenaline wears off, so don’t let this surprise you if it happens. A full power meet takes a lot out of you, a lot more than a normal training day.

Again, great job, it looks like you killed it.

Brutiful lifting at your meet girl! And let me chime in with a praise holy jesus you’re excited about benching! You get at that like you do your LB and you’ll be unstoppable.
