That illegal immigrant march was one of the most breathtaking displays of entitlement I think I’ve ever seen, but that appears to be the mentality of the people we bring here to do jobs “Americans won’t do.” Since most of the new jobs we’re creating require higher and higher skill sets and education levels, why do we need more low-skill, uneducated people here in the first place? Even guys like Thomas Friedman are against massive low-skilled immigration.

Perhaps he is upset about the politically incorrect term Hottentot?

The Bantu Expansion certainly did push other ethnic groups out of their homelands.

Maybe he objects to the term “wiped out”. I do not know the exact mechanism used to chase them out or how many were just absorbed into the Bantu culture as opposed to displaced/killed.

You should read Diamond’s book. He’s got a whole chapter in there called “How Africa Became Black.” It suggests a sort of er, expansion of sorts coming from the Bantu mastery of certain agriculture. I’m sure the Bantu expanded into the pygmy/Bushmen areas by purchasing ever more property from them though, right? No conflict of any sort occured. It couldn’t have. Only the white man is capable of such a thing.

But what baffles me is why the truth has to be manipulated to support whatever your world view happens to be.

Conflict is the state of man.It transcends ethnic and cultural barriers.Does that change the fact that,in this particular instance,the end result of the Khoikhoi disappearing was what I say it was?

They think the reason why they were immune is because they were descended from people who had previously been exposed to smallpox.
