I don’t think the “you” in Makkun’s statement refers to you.

Just enough to cause countless numbers of people around the world to suffer oppression, forced ignorance, physical abuse, inequality, dismemberment, disfiguration, torture, terror and death.
That number isn’t high enough for you to be concerned about the effects of Islam in general?
It makes me concerned about political Islamism in partical, and any mixture of religion and political activity in general.
Makkun

Of course it doesn’t.
Do you mean to say that I shouldn’t respond if not directly addressed? Nah, that can’t be what you mean, since you found it appropriate to add your 2 cents in here…
Respond away. I just think that you muddy up the argument by replying to that. Makkun was evidently addressing the people who defend the idea that it is “all muslims”.
Feel free to chime in with your own opinions. Just don’t throw the ‘of course not “all”’ bit like you did. It implies Makkun was on a strawman or absurdity of some sort which clearly wasn’t the case.
Get it?

More Islamic mythmaking, nothing more. It would be great if you started reading the articles you post here. You’d look like less of a fool:
So the link is unproven, and given Islam’s tendency for burning any books deemed haram, likely to remain so. I’m sure there are commonalities, but then again, there are commonalities amongst all legal systems. The only idea of actual Islamic origin is algebra. The rest, including shari’ah, were stolen from the Jews and other peoples subjugated by the Muslims in the first wave of jihad shortly after Mohammed’s death. Let’s listen to dhimmi Dr. Brand’s nonsense:
Right. Algebra and which philosophers? Does he mean al-Ghazali, who wrote “The Incoherence of the Philosophers” - a polemic against Western and Greek philosophy? How about Avicenna? No. Scratch that. He leaned heavily on Aristotelianism and neoplatonism. How about Averroes? Nevermind. He defended the Greek philosophers, writing “The Incoherence of the Incoherence” in response to al-Ghazali. So, what is originally Islamic? Not their philosophy. It’s stolen from us. Only algebra is yours. And in comparison to Western accomplishments, it makes Islamdom look pretty sad. No wonder both you and Red Bull are living in the West.
You’ve gone wrong again.
I live in Dubai, the UAE. Look I’ll remind you…
You remember that one time you went to see some cage match and some of the Emirati women got excited and stood up and started waving a flag cuz one of the fighters was from the UAE and anyhow, you got really mad as in like a RAGE and you yelled ‘GO BACK home you lousy ArABS!’
and the emirati woman probably felt bad and looked upset and you felt really good about yourself and you smiled at teh mexicans next to you and they smiled back too, only they were probably just nervous because you had gone apeshit over the ISLAMIC THREAT to mixed martial arts, and your wife looked at you as if to say what a total dick.
So yeah, where that woman was from - that’s the UAE, that’s where I live.

Actually, I yelled all that because they were sitting right in front, everyone asked them to sit down so we (meaning everyone on our side of the ring0 could see and they refused to comply.
The Mexicans were polite about it, as were the rest of us until it was obvious that the rest of us were being ignored. Considering our money was just as good as theirs, my response seemed appropriate. They were just a demonstration of the typical Islamic attitudes we see on this thread from you and lixy, and I responded accordingly.
It was also interesting to note what a bunch of clotheshorses and preening metrosexuals all the Arab “men” were in that particular incident.
All had massive amounts of gel in their hair, and were covered from head to toe in Armani, Versace, and other items worth more than the average monthly paycheck of anyone who earns an honest one (which is not you, living in that area -
you lick the scraps that fall from the Western table in terms of oil money, which is sucked from the ground using our technology, and then it’s doled out amongst you in the form of welfare).
The entire demeanor of your co-religionist Arabs screamed, “We’re better than you and we’ll prove it by being arrogant dicks!” I just said what everyone was thinking. We couldn’t see the ring, and we paid to do so.
In your moral universe, the appropriate response would have been for us to sit there and be good American dhimmis, saying nothing while you obscured the headline fight. Happily, neither I, the Mexicans, nor Nam Pham responded according to your moral dictates.
Tell me, why are the “men” in your part of the world so effeminate? Is it the complete distortion of gender roles produced by Islam, the man-boy love, or something else?
Nevermind. I think I found the answer.

Good find Lixy. Leave it to the BBC to spread multicultural propaganda. Even they had to admit:
“It’s a controversial idea.” “There are clear parallels between Islamic legal history and English law, but unless new historical evidence comes to light, the link remains unproven.”
They are trying to smooth the introduction of sharia, so they dig up some meshugena with half baked ideas. Even if he was right a common history changes nothing. Common law has developed along it’s own path for hundreds of years and contains concepts that are completely at odds with sharia.
The real issue here is this. Unlike other immigrant groups Britians muslims already live as seperated from the mainstream community as they can. If they were merely an ex-pat community that eventually intended to go back to the motherland like Britains in Dubai this seperation would not be a big deal and they also would not need their own legal system.
But they are not ex-pats, they are full British citizens who are not integrating into the nation. They are living as a foreign nation within the nation.
Setting up their own court system is a step away from integration and towards further seperation. Courts are a branch of government. Given this present labour governments history of devolution, ie the newly formed Scottish and Welsh parliaments. It is something the British people have every reason to be very concerned about.
It is bad enough that the labour party has stoked the flames of tribalism amongst the indigenous peoples in a falied bid to secure it’s reign, through devolution, but now it is introducing a fifth tribe. A tribe which is foreign, is hostile, whose birthrate far outstrips the other tribes and whose numbers are already greater than three of the other tribes.

It’s sort of in my long-term health interests to think about them, considering their global jihad designs, 9/11, 7/7 and their funding of infidel-hate here in the US. Perhaps if they made themselves less conspicuous, my interest level would decrease.
At any rate, I’m pretty sure I’ve got their psychology pegged.
