From my understanding, he is making up sales to inflate the company’s total revenue…which is why she points out that she sees all these sales coming in without any invoices (or with fake invoices) to back the sales up. Generally, publicly traded companies do this to meet/exceed investor expectations and to push up share prices.
I guess private companies would do this to satisfy their investors as well, and to encourage creditors to loan them money, or maybe to keep their sale value high, etc.
It sounds like his company is going down the shitter, so he’s trying to save face.[/quote]
That makes sense, thanks for the explanation.
Just finished American Beauty, great show. Yeah Lester and his wife are kind of similar to Walt and Skylar thought they aren’t dealing with as serious issues, and are somewhat comical in comparison with the Whites.

After thinking about it more, he could be laundering money into his business as BlackLabel suggested. I guess you would have to make up sales to hide the fact that you’re getting money elsewhere. Maybe he’s in the drug biz as well.
I don’t know, either scenario is possible, but money laundering might fit into the storyline better.
Insane episode! That “bell-ringer” guy certainly won’t be winning any father of the year awards anytime soon.
It was interesting to see that the diablo twins were once human.
Jesse has to cut down a bit on the overacting. That long speech about how he’s going to take a cut of everything Hank makes sounded like…a long, scripted speech.
Next week’s episode is going to be the best yet, I can feel it.
As “The Pacific” gets crappier and crappier, “Breaking Bad” keeps improving. This has potential to be one of my favourite shows of all time.
