I am out of this topic if no one has anything constructive to say as to why the government see’s it would possibly have the right to tell private businesses how to operate there own bathrooms.

So then I take it you would support business having only unisex bathrooms/changerooms etc? How about if a business decided to only provide bathrooms for women? That would be silly and unlikely but would you consider it the right of a business?
I don’t actually have a strong stance by the way, but I am curious what you would feel about the reverse situation, where private business wants to operate their bathrooms contrary to your social customs, and a business that you use and where you would be affected. Let’s say your gym decided to abolish male bathrooms and changing rooms while every other gym your city also went this route.
Are you arguing against this because you oppose if for religious/social customs/moral reasons? Or is it because you think the gov’t is overstepping it’s bounds?

Yeah, but before there were locker rooms, there were no locker rooms. Profound right? And for some reason, it worked out better to have locker rooms, separating people of different genders.
The only way it could possibly work, is if we decided as societally de-sexualize the naked human bodies, program our children to think differently. Some people do this.
I don’t know about you all, but I like the fact that naked women are erotic. I don’t want to be programmed from youth that they are not. I’d rather live in a world where there’s an appropriate place for eroticism and nudity, and I don’t want my kid there.
I know some people like nude beaches, and have either conditioned, or merely convinced, themselves that it’s not sexual or erotic. That’s their choice to do. But I’d be pissed if I had had that taken away from me.
This post is exactly right.

Do a lot of you guys just wander round the Johns with your cock out or something? Even at a Urinal you would have to be trying to see someone else’s dick so really not sure what the issue is. At my office they have women cleaners in the male toilet and I couldn’t care less.

Sorry if I feel seeing a naked women that isn’t my wife is wrong. That is why I use locker rooms that are separated from the women
But the reason you feel that is because you (along with most people in the western world including me) have been conditioned from birth to believe there is something wrong with the naked human form.
Go to Northern Europe and you have unisex saunas and swimming pools that people use naked, it is not a sexual thing and no-one sees anything wrong with this. Go to pretty much any beach in Europe and there will be women as good as naked, again this is not a sexual thing.
I am not saying you are wrong for your values, I am also not saying that the US should immediately switch to unisex locker rooms, there are too many people in the US that are conditioned to link nudity to sex, therefore this would cause problems.
What I am saying is that a people’s concept of what is acceptable changes over time. Go back to Victorian times and a woman showing her ankles was seen as slutty.
I hate to say that I am inclined to agree with everything you’ve written in this post.
I do sometimes wonder, however, what kind of testosterone is flowing around in your typical European man that he can confidently wear speedos on a beach full of jigglin titties.
Seriously. ![]()

Quoted because it says jigglin titties. lol.

Yes, to both. There is an old hotel in NYC, name escapes me, that caters to only women looking to become big stars. If I remember correctly they only have bathrooms for women. I see nothing wrong with that.
That is there decision, if they do not provide the service I want, I can either compromise (by just coming to the gym in my training clothes) or I leave the establishment and wait for a gym to open that caters to my wants.

At first I got sucked into what I think as a customer of business establishments, then I backed up and realised that does not matter in this situation (it does, but only a small bit) and that what actually mattered was the overstepping of the government. Yes you are correct on the latter.
