I still can’t see your comments Bismark.
Perhaps when you finish college and no longer know everything I’ll take you off ignore.

And let’s not forget, his “stupid” mistakes cost 6 brave men their lives.

Are you seriously arguing that someone who leaves his post without permission – goes AWOL – cannot be criticized by those who stay where they should and do their duty, but the latter CAN be criticized by someone like you who has never had to risk his life to venture out into enemy territory to search for said AWOL soldier (as they have)?
Seriously?
If so, this discussion is a waste of time.[/quote]
The difference between AWOL and desertion is the intent to return. I don’t believe he had plans to go back and be with his unit.
Yes, typically mailing back all your belongings would have been a clue.

Correct. There is ample evidence and men were eye witnesses to his behavior as fellow squad and platoon mates. One sergeant is on record as saying “I’m glad he’s back, because I don’t see that any American should be prisoner for 5 years, but I want to see him answer for what he did” (paraphrase, from earlier NYTimes article…I think).
As someone said earlier, the uniform is what we go back to get regardless of whether we like the man wearing it or not…however there is no call trading 5 highly ranked terrorist leaders + 8 billion dollars for one deserting “POW”.
And there is absolutely NO fucking call having your administration call men who witnessed this stuff “psychopaths” and liars.

But there was no need to go back and get his uniform: he had already mailed it home.

8 billion dollars? I assume you’re talking about the purported bribe to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt?
What does that have to do with Bergdahl?
Or do you mean 1.6 billion, which was the amount of the promised ‘aid’ to Pakistan?

Hah! I agree with your stance in this thread

I rescind my post on money. I was speaking on what earlier had been reported but clearly I did not validate.
I still posit that 5 terrorist leaders for him is 5 people too many.
I want to know more bout this 2 star who is investigating pvt. Birddog.
I’ll bet he was an O-6 when Hussien Ali-Bama was elected. A lap dog I’m sure that’s going to go along with what our Ali-Bama wants.

Planned it.
6 soldiers were killed during the manhunt looking for him.
Reportedly made anti-American statements.
Father praises Allah and makes pro-Islam statement on social media.
Soldiers that served with him all had to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
This smells like shit.

This. The media also tried claiming that their platoon was “undisciplined” because they “Wore bandanas, tan T-shirs instead of combat tops, and didn’t shave” They were the ONLY Infantry platoon (American mind you) on a small ANA COP… That’s how deployment goes; unless you get stuck on some huge FOB with a ton of POG brass walking around…

New photo:
Badruddin Haqqani and Bacha Bazi Bowe! Adorable. A great day for the interracial LGBT community in Afghanistan.
^^That’s not a joke about Bergdahl being a bacha bazi boy. That’s what the Taliban are showing by releasing this photo. Notice he’s clean shaven.
Bergdahl to face desertion charges.

I was hesitant to post that because of the source I read it on initially, but I’m glad to see the story checks out. Hope he goes to jail for a long time.

For the “crime” of trying to quit his job?!
What is so special about serving in the military that “volunteers” should not be able to quit? Is it because once in and given murderous orders moral thinking people might have second thoughts? That should be a clue to how wrong it is.
Imagine if we applied the same standards to “civilian” jobs as we do to the military. Oh, you like to volunteer your time to worthwhile causes? sorry, you signed a contract and cannot quit until we release you.
More proof that people who serve in the military are just slaves.
I accept the idea that the military is a form of involuntary servitude which protects our civilization and lets anti military individuals believe/do/write anything they want.
I also accept the idea that if Bergdahl deserted and-- more importantly–revealed our military strategies to the enemy, then he should be stripped of his accrued military benefits and sentenced in a military court for being a traitor. If shooting is the appropriate penalty, it should be replaced with a long, long military sentence. Make him suffer.
Are you really that fucking ignorant or are you just trolling? No one could be as stupid as you seem to be. If you had any thought processes at all, you would know the reason why the military HAS to have different standards than civilians. And I do hope you know the reason why you can say your shit is because of the military and why you can say it in English is because of the military.
