Boron - All My Patients Use It and So Should You

I have never taken boron, but have some ordered. An article on the T nation suggessted Passion Flower for anxiety so I tried it. Made super ANGRY! Like I will rip off your head and shit down your throat angry. That was a no go! Hope the boron doesn’t have the same effect.

Forgive me for saying so, but a female’s body goes through WAY too many drastic hormonal fluctuations during a normal monthly cycle to be able to take some supplements on a steady basis. A lot of your supplementation, at least hormonally speaking, should be timed to coincide with certain phases of your cycle and then stopped on other phases.

This could be why you had such a bad reaction? Just thinking out loud here.

I am past that point. ( post menopause)
I am just a freak of nature. Pretty sure there is no help at this point. Just trial and error.

Ah I see. My apologies. The devil’s in the details! Lol.

Are you doing HRT, or are you just trying to go the supplement route to even out?

No HRT, just supps. My issues have pretty much made me bat shit crazy :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Lol! Don’t be too concerned about that. Some guys like bat shit crazy! Lol

I was asking more for curiosity than anything. My wife went through a very bad time a few years ago and it left her (and me) very screwed up hormonally. (It’s amazing how life can effect you internally). I started TRT about 6 months ago, and my wife started HRT (Ipamorelin and progesterone) about a month ago. We have both done a complete 180 in the well-being Dept.

Thank you and here’s to hoping for you getting yours figured out.

I can tell you this, you don’t realize how bad you have felt and for how long until you actually experience what a true “normal” really feels like. I hope I don’t ever feel like that again, or my wife either. That was a literal hell.

Hoping for the best for you girl!

Thank you! I have been dealing with this for some time so, it’s nothing new. I use the good days to get me through the bad, until the good ones come back around.
I am a lot closer to figuring it out than I was so I’ll take it!

Boron test is $172 in blood, and $164 in urine online. That is crazy high. (ulta)

how long would it take and how expensive would it be to have the genetic testing done? or is this something that can be done with a 23&me genetic test?

Depends on what you’re looking for. Dr. Rhonda Patrick does some extra fairly extensive testing with the raw data from 23andMe through foundmyfitness for like $10.

I’m not sure how true it is but I have heard 23andme is not that accurate. Ancestry is supposedly more accurate. I have a hard time with them though as they are owned by a particular church that I prefer not to have my dna in their records. Sorry to offend anyone that may belong to that church, my personal feelings. If I do, do DNA testing though that is probably who I will go through though lol.

How’re everyone doing? Sorry I am spotty at times answering - kids and baby and wife hahaha!

@physioLojik Started taking 9 mg boron per day and ZMA to reduce shbg. It’s been about 6 days. Nothing major to report. My SHBG is sitting at 56 on the LabCorp scale. It was at 64 prior to TRT at 200 mg per week. Will report back in a few weeks after my next blood draw.

Still waiting on the boron ( had to order it)
But I have a question. I know, this is the part where you roll your eyes so far back in your head you can see your brain🙄

I have tried your cream of rice/ concoction bowl and within 15 minutes I get all wonky. Thought at first it was driving my blood sugar up, but it actually makes it drop. Any thoughts on how to prevent this?

@ChickenLittle did you make sure to add peanut or almond butter? That slows down the digestion.

Yes, I did just put the Metabolic Drive in instead of sugar free syrup.
