This is such a valid point that is lost on a few people.
Its not so much the punches, more what they represent.

Everyone once in awhile people need to get there ass beat or else they get too full of themselves. Here is a perfect example
I enjoyed his movie, but he had that shit coming.

Comedy or not; I often think about myself in these situations. I love Jackass. I think Steve-O is hilarious. Bam Margera, too. But honestly? If they pulled some of the stuff I’ve seen on TV around me or my family (and I didn’t know it was them) I’d probably lose it. Honestly, from a defensive stand point, anyone that wouldn’t is in pretty serious danger themselves. That’s why it’s funny, to see people react. And I think the correct reaction would be defense, on any level.
People that pull this kind of space / comfort invading prank should expect to get their asses handed to them on occasion.
