Bodyweight Exercises for Kids?

I teach kindergarten and sometimes have the kids do squats (I call them “Chair-No Chairs” for the kids) but only 5 at a time, and maybe only 15 to 20 in the whole day.

We tried push ups but they just can’t…and I don’t push it, I only expect them to do only one.

Kids that young just can’t do a lot of course…like running. You simply can’t ask a 6 year-old to run for 5 minutes straight or more.Kids naturally like to sprint and stop.
on a serious note my 5 year old can do a few legit push ups and 5 pull ups - no bullshit. and no, I did not push him to do this at all. kid has abs and is quite proud of them too lol. hits and kicks the heavy bag like a future bad ass too. LOL

this guy is obviously trolling, everyone knows that anavar is the only steroid that you should give to children

I agree HG. My school used to have a 30 mins step aerobics class as gym…gymnastics with real beams and rings…punching bags

Our pe was actual pe…not kickball.

We sprinted did wall sits…all the bw stuff

I kinda hate the. Idea of not pushing a lid into hard physical activity bc its allegedly bad for them…fuck that our bodies were designed to be beaten

Thinl of what an 8 year old jungle kid can do…or has to do or he won’t eat

Even at the gym I train at now the owners 3 and 4 year olds are there pushing the prowler and. Using the machines

Saying kids shouldn’t train hard is like saying women shouldn’t train hard…

Our dna wants us to be brutal…not behind a desk worrying about strains and not being developed enough
step aerobics is the real kicker here. If you can’t whip your head and twist your hips by 6, you are destined for band or the debate team. I was being serious though.

What is it with the posts tonight?

Got one guy who thinks being a recreational bodybuilder and a cop are incompatible and another guy who wants to give drugs to children.

Did crack get into the water supply?
My daughter is 5 in this pic. She would “lift” with me when I went down to do it. Sure, the decline bench wouldn’t inevitably become a slide at one point, but that was after she tired of db presses with her pretty pink weights. Sadly, I had to move and leave my gym behind :frowning:

Kids WANT to be active. You just have to give them the opportunity. I can’t count the number of times I have had little kids “race” me at the track or try hand stands after seeing me do them. It’s just about the cutest damn thing ever.

What did the old USSR use for their kids? Are depth jumps from 6 feet dangerous?

Congrats. I now thoroughly regret having taken the time to offer you advice in the near-identical thread you started four months ago.

In that thread, you mentioned,
For some reason I am banned on Charlie Francis site.
Not seeming like such a mystery now.
