35 years ago, yes I was the “sexy sax man” playing to those young rapscallions.
Yes, I looked at the video on You Tube today.
I thought I was the only one that did rows that way. I didn’t know it was an actual thing. They are harder than they look.
Have you seen the direct to DVD sequels?
You’re still a bad ass Tim ! The Lost Boys scene is one of all my all time favorites in any film. And your sax work for Beyond Thunderdome is in my play list all the time.
Any way to get an autograph or 8 x10 or something ??
Hot garbage. The original is a contender for GOAT. Actually ran into one of the actors in Carlsbad one night at a place called The Coyote. Coincidentally had watched TLB earlier that day. He played one of the punks that the vampires got into it with on the carousel
I Didn’t see them.
Agreed (the sequels, the original was a very enjoyable watch); but they’ve still got Corey Feldman in them.
One vampire movie I saw of which I also enjoyed was 30 days of night. Very bleak in comparison though, it’s one those semi stylised comic book movies.
I took a stab at beginner planche progression on Friday. Apparently I can’t do much yet. I think I could have protracted my shoulders more. This was tougher on the biceps than expected.
That’s about all I can muster on the planche as well. I can do a planche without bars and my weight resting on my elbows. I can’t yet support my full weight though with the actual planche. Maybe one day.
How tall are you and what’s your weight? Getting Lew eg has helped a lot with calisthenics.
I know as long as I keep working legs intensely the progress in upper body holds will take longer than otherwise. And I have pretty thick quads and hams though not as big as they once were. This is a pic from last week.
I just ordered this set. It will allow me to train on my deck and backyard, not just in the garage. FULL-BODY BASEBLOCKS SUITE – BaseBlocks
I’m also gong to install a pull-up bar in the garage for my rings and Blast Straps and buy 12” parallets. Then I’ll be set for all I wanna do with cals for upper body.
I just heard of baseblocks products this weekend. Are they any good? I don’t know much about them.
They’re coming in on Wednesday. As you can see there are four pieces to the set: Base Block, Base Trainer, B-bars (I got the add on parallel bar), and parallettes. I’m also getting a weighted vest and more bands for progressions.
The Base Block equipment gets great reviews. Simon Ata works with them and that guy is no BS.
I may of found a new fitness company to get some new equipment then if they are of quality.
See reviews on YT. I’ve only seen positive from actual users.
If guys this string and explosive are alright with it, it’s likely legit.
@Brickhead…please let me know how you like the items you ordered if you don’t mind. I just purchased an ironmind axle-bar, a hip-belt, and some fat-bar loadable dumbbells which set me back on the money situation this month. I may have to pick up a B-bar next time.
The B-bar seems like it’s well built. I am curious as to what it’s rated. Do you know the weight limit on it?
I’ll let you know. I gotta log back onto website to see weight limit.
You’re quite lean, perhaps around 10-12% BF? How much do you weigh? How tall are you? Are you a giant (over 5’7)?
I’m not short, everyone else is just unreasonably tall! It’s flawless logic.
When you go for a job/run, what distance do you aim for?
