bodybuilding and homosexuals

Zeb,
I agree with you all the way. Christian rights are being taken over as the gay community gets more power. I have a strong dislike for gays as well. In fact, there is a gay couple on the computer next to me in my dorm and I want to strangle them both with this mouse cord. As for gays and bodybuilding, I guess I’m lucky for belonging to good gyms where gays would probably ostracized, or kicked out of the gym and thrown into the buns of steel class where they belong. IMO, I feel that society is coming to a point where a group of completely heterosexual weight lifters can’t hit the lockerroom showers without worrying about if some queer eye is checking him out.

you extremist christians piss me off. What happened to respecting peoples rights to do what they want to do with their lives?? How the hell is giving a gay couple the rights of a heterosexual couple taking away from YOUR rights?!?! It doesnt affect you in the tiniest way at all. I agree that two men going at it in a public shower is disgusting but shit happens. I am proudly heterosexual but i find no problem with people making their own sexual preferences, its their choice not yours. It’s disturbing people like you are still out there.

Josher: Would your reaction have been the same if it was male/female as opposed to two males?

Sure, a family orientated compound makes it unacceptable behaviour by anyone, but if you accept the Het Behaviour and not the Gay behaaviour you’re operating unbder a mssive hypocritical double standard.

What pisses me off was your perjorative, which indicated that it wasn’t the fact that it was in an family compound as the fact that it was two guys that made it an appalling act.

Now, you’re a christian, so that tells you to hate gays. Nice to see you’ve read the old testament. The new testament stuff about loving thy neighbour adn forgiveness and all that is strangely irrelevant huh?

Frankly, you can make the bible say just about anything you want, especially if you compare old and new testaments, because in tenor and meaning they essentially preach completely different philosophies. The Old Testament God is a god of order, of discipline and of retribution - so within that context chopping up the unbeliever was OK. The new testament god is one of love, forgiveness and choice. Certainly, those who don’t follow HIS path are condemned to the lake of fire, but that is HIS judgement to make, not yours.

Unfortunately, the huge problem a lot of people have with “Christian” is not your garden variety, od-loving christian, but the right wing fundamentalist who believes it’s god’s will that they shoot abortionists and preach hate and fear; frankly, they’re no better than any other radical who prey on peoples fears/ conscience etc.

One thing, btw, and sidetracking a bit, is that if gay stuff is so bad, why do some many christian men like watching two hotties go for it in a porn flick? Must be an exception in the bible about that, 'and the burning bush spake unto Moses “They that lie with their own kind are fallen in my sight, unless they have 38DD breast and a shaved coochie”, and Moses rejoiced…

…but hey, whatever does it for you I guess…

well put cariot, what i was trying to say lol

tme, (and others),

No tme, I don’t care whether someone is a “proselytizing asshole” or not. Nor, do I care if they are gay or not. All I want is equality for all Americans. I think it’s wrong when one group gains rights, at the expense of another group, as I have stated,(I think you better re-read my previous posts). I feel that this country is large enough for every group to feel secure and comfortable in.

The slam against you was there for other reasons: You seem to pull various theorys out of thin air and accept them as truth. Your logic is twisted and The hate that you exude is startling! I think the word “tolerance” is needed in your vernacular. If someone does not meet your epitome of what a politician (poster, clergy, trainee etc.) should be, you are ready to behead them, pour hot coal down their throat and tie them to a railroad track. Maybe you should re-read your posts, (begin with anything political and go from there). They are some of the most mean spirited posts that I have read since joining this forum!

To the other posters on this thread: I don’t think that anyone should use the Bible to hit people over the head. I expected a few of you to twist my comments, you didn’t let me down. I will reiterate: If homosexuals rights can be protected, (and they should be), I think that Christians rights (and other religious groups) should be protected as well!

Just like tme wants to puke on the shoes of all Christians who offer him a different lifestyle, so do other men want to vomit when a gay man approaches them with a suggestion of a “different lifestyle.” Who’s rights are more important?

I am not one who hates, nor do I advocate hating others just because they are different from you. The very strength of this country was founded upon the premise that all nationalities (for example) were welcome. And, in fact, all nationalities helped make this country strong. If we can thrive under this sort of diversity, why can’t we do so under all sorts of diversity?

I am starting to see a double standard in this country. One standard says “we must protect the rights of those who chooose a different lifestyle than the majority.” This means, for example, that a public shcool would have to give a gay youth group space to have their weekly meeting. I have no problem with this. The other standard says it is fine to prohibit a another youth group from having a Christian meeting on public school grounds. This I have a problem with! Moreover, every American should look more closely regarding the various rights that are now being taken away!

If our rights as citizens, are going to be protected on the one hand, and not on the other what have we gained as a nation? We have a problem in this country. That problem is not about the biblical meaning of perversion (that is a private choice). It’s about basic rights denied those who call themselves Christian, (Jews etc). It seems that the more rights that are given more “diverse” entitys, the more rights are taken away from those who claim a religious orientation.

I hope that my point is clear. Each thread has a way of taking on a life of it’s own. Traveling far away from it’s original intent. My original point is simple: If one man can be “protected” from Christian values and principals-Then another man should also be protected from homosexuals approaching them looking for sex! Each has their rights, one is not more important than the other.

Great post ZEB

ZEB, very well put. I don’t necessarily agree with you, but you make a good point. I don’t think gay youth groups or religion have any place in a public school. I think religion and sexual preference are both private aspects of one’s life and should be treated as such. But if a school allows one, then it should be required to allow the other. I feel the same way about soccer too, no business in our schools.

A few years ago I was at a bookstore and a gay guy started hitting on me and actually asked me out to dinner. I declined, explained that I was straight and married and he respectfully apologized and went about his business. It didn’t really bother me that much, I felt a little uneasy about it, but I wasn’t going to lose sleep over it or kick his ass or anything. It wasn’t until I got home and was telling my wife about the incident that I realized he was probably hitting on me because at the time I was looking at a bodybuilding magazine. So basically in his eyes I was advertising that I was looking for some action. I don’t think I have picked up a muscle magazine since.

Josher, read my post again. I said that it was most likely a pretty disgusting experience to see something like that at the age of fourteen. However, it’s also extremely ignorant to wish the entire group dead; especially considering that a site of this size most likely has a number of homosexual readers. I think that most people would appreaciate if you kept your bigotry to yourself.

ZEB,
Great post. I don’t always agree with what you have to say but this hits it right on the head. Being hit on by a homosexual is just as offensive to me as Jehovah’s witnesses knocking on my door at 8:00 am on a Saturday. All you can do is tell them to leave and don’t come back.

People are failing to mention the widespread homosexual conspiracy to quash the rights of other by attempting to assert their own. Clearly, the amount of rights going around is finite…and these homosexuals are trying to grab a disproportionately large slice of the pie.

Look at Queer Eye…need I say any more? Evil-doers.

My first post about the napalm was obviously a tongue and cheek joke. Tasteless? Maybe, but I thought it was kind of funny.

Josher, it’s people like you that make me glad I moved away from Nova Scotia.

Try This Instead of BB, if you dont wanna be hit on EVER by men or Women

-Powerlifting

Bangs: How is “rights” a zero sum game? Our constitution doesn’t mention the necessity for disabusing any particular constituent when providing for the rights of another? And don’t tell me that giving any rights to gays “waters down” or “demeans” heterosexual rights…that’s like saying granting free speech to, say, the NRA “demeans” the free speech of the ACLU. That’s what freedom is all about: you’re free to do as you wish, I’m free to do as I wish, etc…as long as my freedoms don’t infringe upon your and don’t break any laws.

So you find gays repulsive? I know what you mean…I have a lot of friends who have really fat, homely wives, and I can’t for the life of me imagine what they look like in their special Saturday night “let’s put the kids to bed and act like newlyweds” lingerie. Repulsive? God, yes. But that’s their business, and has nothing to do with my wife and I.

When I was young and single, a buddy and I went out to Provincetown, MA for a weekend to visit some mutual friends. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a real gathering place for gay and lesbians (as well as having great beaches, bars, and restaurants). Both my buddy and I were in our mid-twenties, in shape, well-groomed, etc., and as such were constantly hit on the whole weekend. His reaction, as well as mine? Explain our proclivities towards nubile young ladies, take it as a compliment, and laugh about it.

I mean, what’s the harm? Listen, I’m sure our T-vixens have been hit on by thousands of guys they haven’t been attracted to, but you they seem to be doing just fine.

Life’s too short to sweat the small stuff, or to worry about how other people are living (or how they’re sinning, if that’s your belief).

lmao! homesexuality gets this board more fired up than any other topic. kinda makes you wonder.

Sarcasm?

Hey, you started it!!

Sweet Jesus, some of these posts are hilarious! ZEB, you believe that nobody should be demeaned, in any manner, for choices they make, but you call tme a “low-life Godless liberal bottom feeder” for not being Christian? To me, that’s pretty hypocritical.

The last time I checked, christians had as many rights as muslims, jews, gays, liberals, retards, midgets, blind people, and many other types of people. There’s no law keeping you from dropping your head in the middle of class and saying a prayer, just as there is no law keeping two guys from holding hands in the hallway in between classes. Christian rights are being taken away ? Give me a frickin’ break. Some of you speak as if an Orwellian style of government control is being forced upon us, and we’re forced to participate in “Two Minutes Gay” where you’re required to give the guy next to you a handjob while chanting “Jesus sucks!”. what’s happening has nothing to do with the law or government, or the constitution for that matter. What’s happening is society is becoming more diverse as the years go by, and the majorities are becoming uneasy with the thought that lifestyles dissimilar to theirs will be as mainstream as theirs. Your beef should be with society, not lawmakers.

If you opt to let something like an instant message or a television show anger or offend you rather than learning how to close the message box, or how to operate a remote control, then do the gene pool a favor and go jump off a God-damn cliff. You can conjure up all sorts of dumbass analogies, like getting your lap puked on, but the fact still remains that nothing is being forced upon anyone. Just because something you don’t like is in your field of vision does not mean your rights are being taken away. If a gay man exercices his right to hit on you in a bookstore, then exercise your right to start cracking gay jokes at an elevated volume. For example, instead of crying and moaning when that happens, just say “No thanks, I like pussy.” and continue shopping. It’s so easy it’s scary.

While I also think gay butt sex is disgusting, I’m also aware that it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. So instead of disguising my disgust of that lifestyle as a “defense of my rights”, I choose to accept it as part of society and continue to live my life how I want to without placing moral judgements on people who are different than me.

BTW, I found Josher’s napalm comment pretty humorous.

I didnt realize this board had so many homos…

Josher, you are obviously an idiot.

and Zeb, I don’t need to be hit on by other chicks because I have a gf.
