At what temperature and how long did you cook that (scheming dinner for tonight)

I don’t clean normally, but it’s one of those things I should be doing. I can’t ever drop under the bar, so it’s just an explosive upright row and a catch. Lame-o

I’m both. I am all things to all people. Except a math tutor. It also appears that you could use a little work in the English department! lol j/k (I have no business criticizing here!) I will say though that a function vegetable does have a mathy ring to it.

Anyhoo, biology and biochemistry are the main courses I teach, but I also sometimes teach seminar and special topics courses. I also used to teach nutritional biochem at the master’s level. I have a rather unusual CV.

That chicken looks incredible! I too am interested in specifics regarding temp and cook time.

Blaze- It is very Epic Meal Time isnt it? I should have smothered it with Jack Daniels instead of BBQ sauce… wonder how that woulda turned out?

Elmore- Set the oven to 375 and throw those bad boys in there. Takes about 25-30 minutes. The best way to tell is when the bacon looks cooked (not super crispy/charred) then the chicken is done on the inside. It was harder to tell last night cause at the 20 minute mark I put on the BBQ sauce, but I’ve done it before with boneless skinless chicken thighs and didnt put any sauce on them… so good.

Ink- I used to be the same way. It was a monster upright row and then just a little flip of the wrists lol… working on the “low catch” now to try and up my numbers… plus it looks way cooler

Doc- a teacher, a doctor AND all things to all people??? whaaaat? well I was super pumped to get over my stress funk bs, had a really nice day yesterday, got a lot of things done, ate a delicious dinner… and then slept for maybe 1 or 2 hours last night. WTF!? hahaha So weird. Well I was up wide awake at 7 this morning so we’ll see how this day goes. Gonna head to the gym now to get in some cardio, then back later for lifting. Hopefully I can just rally now and wont need a nap (even though gregron loves himself some naps)

cardio time now. Stay up peeps. Also, took a “progress pic” :wink: :wink: last night for my boo and was noticing that I am looking a little wide… like I have “child baring” hips lolol… gotta work on that.

I’ve been thinking of trying out ReceptroMax after reading the thread about it in the Nutrition section to help with my love handle issue? I think it could be work experimenting with since the only other supps im using are whey, creatine and lucine… so thats all pretty cheap. I’ll keep you guys updated on that sitch.

Good luck with whatever you do regarding (what you imagine as a) lovehandle depletion. I got love-platforms, and I just can’t ever commit to getting abz like you, Mr Hawtabz McAbzercise

Sorry to hear about your insomnia troubles. I’ve been sleeping a lot better since my surgery. I think I’ll know I’m back to normal when I don’t need as much sleep again. LOL!

Very impressive cleaning broham, I’ve been toying with some Oly lifts this week and my everywhere has doms as a result… Still, things like cleans etc. seem like they could have great carry over into my other lifts.

phlegms- thanks bud… Oly lifts are great. I love em (well I like cleans) I would like to try some snatches some time (lol) but I think my arm would just rip off and go flying over my head if I tried them so I think i’ll just stick with cleans.

was inspired to blast some bi’s from that “Another BIG arm thread” got some great tips

BB Curls:
worked up to 135 x 3 (if that even counts lol)

EZ Preacher Curl
40lbs on each side x 3 x 8-10

EZ Preacher Reverse Curl
20lbs each side x 3x12 (slow negs and super squeezes. So pumped)

DB curl with hands facing out the whole time. both DB’s at the same time
supersetted with
across the body hammer curls
30lb DBs x 10/10 for 3 sets… biceps were about to bust through the skin. it was awesome. (pic above)

I also mixed in some V Handle cable rows in there somewhere…

GREAT WORKOUT!!! So pumped right now. Feeling great, ready to destroy some food. It was awesome. Super pumped on the DL PR… two weeks in a row. I see 500 in my NEAR future. Gonna get some shopping done tonight, pick up my new blue (yeah you heard that right, blue) pants that are ready from the taylors. Its gonna be sick! Maybe gonna see a movie tonight with the little lady and probably have a beer or two.

MiM- I’m going to try that brown sugar bacon ASAP! That sounds incredible… I love bacon :slight_smile: Another good thing to try with burgers is to cut up little pieces of bacon and smash it all up in the hamburger meat. Then you have bacon chunks IN your burger. Yum

Steve- yeah man… 455. I was super pumped… it was with straps and a belt though. If I could use chalk i wouldnt need the straps but that bar is the slickest bar ever. basically no grip. I couldnt even hold the bar for the 405 lol. it was all fingertips by the top of the rep

harry- I just started taking Receptromax today… havent noticed any weird pee smells yet but I’ll make sure and update you if I do

Noes! Not wasted time. I enjoy viewing that part of the lift. It is like I can almost see what you are thinking. Ya know, all the mental stuff that happens before it really happens. Good shit IMO.

That pull was easy. I don’t know how you can do switch grip with straps, I’m too damn dumb to be able to wrap the uh strap. One thing that helped my pulls was not sitting there with my hands on the bar before I pulled. I just walk up and immediately pull(even if I have to strap up). Less thinking is better. That’s just what works for me, hopefully it helps.

Matt- hahaha the mixed grip with straps is hard… It always messes me up on how to wrap my right hand lol. Such an uncoordinated dork haha

Mixed grip with straps is way too much thinking for me in the gym, with all the plate counting I struggle to do, getting my straps right is too much for my brain to handle…
